Thursday Nov 11 was veterans day. A day to remember all the Veteran who served our country and lest we not forget the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Armistice Day.
The Elks Organization held a veterans dinner and we had 2 WWII veterans attending. Looking on Google I found some interesting statistics:
Last WWI veteran, Florence Green from the U.K. 2012, age 110.
Last WWI combat veteran, Claude Choules served in the British Royal Navy died 2011, age 110
There are approximately 325,000+ surviving WWII veterans world wide today.
Thanks to all the veterans world wide who fought & served for what they believed in.
Here's the American Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton (1969). I sincerely hope this does not offend anybody.
Good night & God bless.
