You know what this means, it’s Free Sunday again already. I have to start this a little early as we are committed to friends visiting tonight and I have to go pick up dinner before they arrive. This will get you all started. I was influenced by Jimber’s shots last week so I thought I’d try something similar. Turns out I had given my son my trouble light for his desert existance and I had trouble with my spot light. Anyway this is what I came up with. Looking forward to what y’all come up with to share with all of us.

These were done in camera, no Photoshop warping. I believe that you will be able to figure out they were done pretty quickly.

I’m going to have to try that. I’ve got a spot light, and a trouble lite, abig piece of foam board and a whole lot of paper. You got my mind working now, jimber❗️
👍👍👍

I'm happy to have provided a spark. Happy shooting.

Here is something to try. All it takes is a light source, some paper, paper clips, some time and some post processing.

These pictures depict something that surprised me. I thought this tulip turned out to beautiful even though it was way past its prime and had dried. The last picture shows the red tulip outside before cutting. After bringing it in and then watching it wilt, my wonder grew as did its beauty.

Very nice, well done.

It is with sadness that I share with you the loss of fellow UHHer "Lorima" (Lorina Michelle Adkins) on August 13th. Many in this thread knew Lorima and her distinctive photo style. She was only 57 and had battled cancer for many years. She was born in Christ Church, NZ, and lived in Colorado with her husband and two sons (of whom she often spoke or posted). Lori was known for her love of family, baking, flowers, horses, nature and her photography. She was a sweet soul who came up with some extremely creative images and always an encouraging comment on the posts of others. As I recall, she also loved Disney World and traveled there with family during a time of remission.

In May 2022, Lorima hosted a challenge on birds. I had been reviewing the 2022 challenges and realized I'd not see Lorima in quite a while so, as one of her FB friends, I went to her page and that's how I learned she had passed. I searched through her UHH posts and have selected several of her images that are testament to her talent and some of the subjects she loved.

Thank you for sharing that information. Lorima had real talent for capturing a scene and processing it to bring its best. She did capture and create some wonderful images.

The best of my "deer in the yard" pictures.

With that many deer I'm surprised you have any vegetation. Nice photos.
