I think Sony has the best manuals. I downloaded the manual from Sony website and can't tell if the Sony A7III would have TTL flash or not from the manual.

I noticed the same thing....Flash not listed in the Index.

If you bought the flash after the camera body, then it is your fault for not checking compatibility first.

As the flash was purchased from the internet, and the spec' included " TTL with Sony cameras" The list of cameras compatible, was in the box with the flash, delivered by Royal Mail from China. That is when I learned (and my own testing) that model Sony a 7111 was not included on the list. Other posters have made blanket statements about model a 7111 able to do TTL, but did not clarify certain proviso's necessary for that to happen. I can still use manual flash though. Just like old times!!

I am replying to you. OK the Godox doesn't work with the A7III that doesn't mean the A7III doesn't have TTL. You have to test it with a Sony flash unit.

Wonder if someone at Sony, might send a complimentary flash-Gun so I can extol the virtue of Sony Flash-guns? (Rhetorical Question).

Don't Sony make a flash for the A7III? You can't say that the A7III doesn't have TTL unless you use a Sony flash unit.

I don't know who you are replying to, because all I have discovered, is that my Godox 350s, and Sony A 7111 are not compatible when I try TTL'

I have and used the Godox TT350 with both my Sony cameras, although I don't have the 7III. Read the manual and check your settings...I find it hard to believe.

In the Godox 350s booklet, the list of compatible Sony Cameras are, a7r11, a7r, a58, a99, ILCE6000L, a7711, RX10. Looks like the a7111 is NOT compatible after all. My TTL tests show generally under exposure.
Thanks for all replies with helpful input.

Of course the Sony A7III works great with TTL flash.

I would love to know which Make/Model of Flash-Gun supports TTL with the Sony A 7111 camera. Please Tell.

Which Make/model of flash-gun please. Don't keep it a secret. Nobody will thank you for that.

My Sony a7iii also works just fine for TTL. I use a Nissin flash.

Hello GrandmaG...Great GrandadP here. What model of Nissin flash do you use with the Sony A7111, that gives TTL usage? Thanks in advance for your help.

I think the question is not valid. My A7 lll works great TTL with a variety of flashes. Not only that, I easily set it up during a class through local camera store B and C Camera, when the owners of Nikon bodies could not get their cameras to work. I was able to help one young lady through her menu, but the instructor could not help another Nikon owner. Again, the poster is posting up the wrong tree!

Could you post a list of flash guns that have worked TTL with a SonyA7111. I will then have a choice of guns to aim for. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I have the Sony A7111 and the Sony flash. I haven't had any issues with it. I have used it with both TTL and Manual.

Which model Sony flash. Must admit I had used a Godox TT 350 Whilst the flash boasted TTL setting, it did not TTL with my Sony A7111. Thanks for your reply. Looking forward to knowing what model of Sony Flash I should have bought.

Is a Sony A7111, the only Sony camera that will not work with TTL flash? No prizes for guessing.

I would respectfully suggest, that whoever needed to ask the question, has not done much Flash-Photography. I know, "We all have to learn".

Pointing in the same direction as the camera , and lens?? Just a guess on my part. I use the same principle.
