This bridge was built by the military around 1862 or 1863. It sits on Private Property, so I was honored to be invited in to shoot some photos by a local
well known photographer. What a beautiful site!! I hope it stands for another 100 years, undisturbed.
Really nice!! thanks for sharing
A new addition to my front yard the other day..
hi ,,
Yes,, the Orange look of the water, or "Root Beer" look, as my wife would put it, is caused by all the Iron in the water in this area.
This is Iron Ore country.
Thanks for looking, and glad you like the shots.
Took a trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior on April 28th Weekend to shoot some waterfall photos, only to find SNOW!!
It snowed most of Friday but the sun came back on Saturday for us. Comments welcome
Thanks!!, ,glad you like the photos, ,it was a fun scene to watch
Unfortunately for him,, he missed dinner!
(comments welcome)
Thanks,, as far as easy to do,, lol,, no. It was 15 degrees, and I had to put a tripod up in my pickup truck box , to get high enough to see over the Barbed Wire Fence..
Thanks for the nice comments
Thanks everyone,, I am glad everyone is enjoying this capture, as much as I enjoyed creating it.
lol, Deep Kimchi for sure!!,,
Yes, I do fly, I have a Champ based in White Bear Lake. Lots of fun.
I also work taking photos at the Airshow in Oshkosh each year. Lots of work, and lots of fun.
Thanks for the update on the place. I was nervous about security when taking the shots, I was on the "back side" , along a road, that was pretty isolated.
I pulled in near a gate, that of course said no trespassing, and had to set up the tripod in the bed of my truck, to see over the fence for the shot. Of course I made no attempt
to get inside the fence. I can certainly understand why they may not be too understanding about someone out there in the dark, shooting photos.
Being respectful of security and of course nature, when practicing our art form is so important.
