There's mo way you can get a 22 long rifle Rim fire to do that.

Actually you can. There was a guy from Woodbridge, VA that used to come to the gun shows in VA,MD, and PA back in the 80's. He sold different types of custom ammo including exploding rounds. The .22 would not do as well as what was in the video however it would break a 3" diameter tree in half. The exploding .38 or .45 would do close to what you saw in the video. He had shot gun shells that would emulate a flame thrower and a .12ga shot gun shell that fired two lead balls connected by a short length of piano wire. It did a lot of damage. He even had .22 tracers and they worked fine.

The feds shut him down after about a year.

There is a link in the information section if you want to purchase the ammo.

I tried to post the link to purchase the ammo, however UHH will not allow it. This is obviously an April Fools thing.

Over the years, I've sold a variety of items on Craigslist, only to local buyers, only cash on delivery. Typically a Craigslist buyer tries to negotiate a lower price, which I may or may not be willing to accede to.

Recently I'm trying to sell a dSLR on Craigslist and I've been getting calls from far away places, other states. The buyer inquires if I still have the item and then offers me even more than my asking price if I will ship it. Sometimes as much as $100 more than my asking price. I believe these individuals to be scammers, because individuals shopping on Craigslist are typically looking for the best deal. These long distance buyers always have the same story, they are buying for a son or grandson or nephew and they want me to ship the camera after they pay me via PayPal. I inquired of one such individual where he wants me to ship, and it is to Nigeria! I know of Nigerian scams already and am thinking that this is just some sort of scam. Doesn't make sense to me that someone would be offering me an even higher price for a used camera, higher than it is worth! I always tell the "buyers" that they can shop on eBay or Amazon and get shipping for free! I've accepted payment by PayPal before, but I don't think I'll take a chance with these mysterious long distance purchasers.

What really kills me is that these individuals always ask about the condition of the camera and the asking price and my location, even though it is all clearly stated in my Craigslist ad!
Over the years, I've sold a variety of items on Cr... (show quote)

I had the same experience when I tried to sell a Nikon D70. One of the so-called buyers claimed to be a successful business woman from Seattle. Every other word in the email was misspelled. I was supposed to send the camera to her boyfriend in Nigeria. When I refused to sell it to her she said her lawyer would be in contact. I then got an email from a "lawyer" claiming they would sue. No letter head, address, or phone number listed. After I told them to go ahead, I never heard another word.

I may go back during the season and try for the same shots. However, the traffic to get to that spot is murder.

I can see how Native Americans would be offended by being identified by their skin color. I haven't heard any objections to tribe names, or proper names, or the names of weapons being used.

You have apparently never met a real Native American. Their skin color is not red. They are closer to Mexican brown than any other color. The name came about because of the red clay they would paint their bodies with. The clay acted as a bug repellent and sunscreen.

maybe these old ears are not working right but I don't think that is exactly what the President said. In any case it all sounds like much a do about nothing.

Perhaps you should listen to him again. He said in no uncertain terms that if it was his team he would change the name.

My original post is a copy of another comment I saw on another site. There have been a number of tribes state that they have no objection to the Redskins name. I did not post to bet into a protracted argument with anyone. I do think the government has no business telling us what names we can and cannot use. The Washington Redskins have been a football team since 1933 and all of a sudden there is a problem with their name. BS.

Would you please explain how the Federal Govt.'s official objection to the name of the Washington Redskins, manifests itself? Thanks

The President has said directly that the name needs to be changed because it disparages Native Americans. A panel convened by the U.S. Patent and Trademark commission v**ed last June to revoke the teams trademark protection. By a 2-1 v**e they canceled 6 of the teams trademarks.

There are multiple reports of the Federal government attempting to force a name change, if you look.

The teams history indicates that the name was chosen after they moved from Boston, where they were known as the Braves, to pay homage to the many Native American players they employed in the early years of the franchise. I believe one of those Native Americans was a valued coach at the time.

It is interesting to note:

The federal government, which has " Tomahawk" cruise missiles and "Apache," "Blackhawk," 'Kiowa" and "Lakota' helicopters - and used the code name "Geronimo" in the attack that k**led Osama bin Laden, officially objects to the name of the Washington Redskins.

that's nothing new, however if it outperforms our current Kc135's then might not be a bad acft other than the inflated cost.

Why do you assume the cost is inflated? The contract is for 179 planes at approximately $50 billion. That works out to about $30 mil per plane. A standard 767 costs between $190 and a $193 million.

Have you ever gone to Jamaica? Americans seem to love going there and spending time in resorts ringed with barbed wire and armed guars.

I can't see the hype about what happened to Hollywood as a big deal, and I believe Hollywood is "chicken" not to show the movie about Porky-Pig.

Surely the U.S. and S. Korea can match the skills of N. Korean hackers.

What do you think, as an IT trainer?

No we cannot match their skills. Education in this country does not have the status that it does elsewhere. I quit teaching because the students got lazier and lazier as time went on. We are about the quick buck, not the big picture and few have the dedication to put in the time required. The IT field changes daily and not many of our students have the drive to keep up with it. The dream is to be the next Google or Facebook, not a cyber cop. That being said, we have put some of our most talented hackers in prison for showing off their skills. Maybe the Feds should recruit them instead of locking them up?

There was a very skilled professor at USC that was teaching hacking as part of his IT security course. He believed the old saying, "To catch a thief you need to think like a thief". He was turning out some extremely competent IT Security professionals. The Feds and the school shut him down.

As far as the movie goes; I had no intention of seeing it. A plot to kill the leader of any nation is not the stuff of comedy, in my world. I know others disagree with me on that.

Sure, why not? I'll guess about 1/2-hour before somebody invokes the name of Ansel Adams... oops, too late, I already did! :)

If you actually study Ansel Adams you will find that he manipulated all of his famous photos to produce his vision of the scene. He was Photoshopping before Photoshop was invented.

His famous "Moonrise, Hernandez, NM" is a prime example.

Has N. Korea won the first volley?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/12/18/fbi-points-digital-finger-at-north-korea-for-sony-hacking-attack-formal/

I love the press and their enthusiastic misinformation. From 2000 to 2012 I taught and trained IT students in basic computer security measures. We have been in a cyber war since the late 90's and holding our own. Hackers in Russia who bring down any American are held up as hero's. China trains the best and deploys them against us all the time. The Pentagon fends off upwards of 10,000 attacks a day with only one confirmed successful attack from China.

N. Korea attacks Sony, a Japanese company and all of a sudden this is a loss for the U.S. Sony, a foreign owned company, backs down on releasing a movie in order to protect their employees and customers, and the U.S. is defeated. How can this make any sense to anyone?
