Love the lighting and perspective on the last. A unique look!
Thanks, Linda! I appreciate your pointing out your preference. Sometimes, it's hard for me to pick my favorite one.
Playing around with my wife's new set of colored pencils (before she uses them) using various lighting and arrangements.

Great vintage shot, David. Awesome detail and composition, and I love how the threads add pops of color.

Thanks for your feedback. I used a Canon 90mm tilt-shift lens to get most of the image in focus. It's a super sharp lens, too!

My daughter bought me a shadow box with antique spools in it in the shape of a heart...
There's something about antique wooden spools that has an enduring quality to them. Not like the plastic ones today.

Beautifully achieved! The extended threads add additional interest to the already vintage designs. The shelf is perfect too.
Thanks, Linda! I added those dangling threads for added interest. You have a keen eye for details.

David, beautiful shot.... love the lighting and colors of these vintage spools!!! I own quite a few antique singer machines and have made many quilts, so I really appreciate the beauty of this shot!!
Thank you...Some of these old thread spools belong to my wife, and I believe my mother left some of them behind as well (probably from the 1950's).

I should give credit to Harold Ross who specializes in light painting. Here is his website: https://haroldrossfineart.wordpress.com/

Very appealing and well done!
Thanks! I still have a lot to learn about light painting.

Unusual and beautiful, David! Are you using a slow shutter speed and moving the light across the spools? I love the results..and the subject!
Thank you. And, yes, I have the shutter speed on "Bulb" and move the flashlight using a small aperture and very low ISO.

Thank you...appreciate your commenting.
Still experimenting with light painting (with a small LED flashlight).

Interesting, I have Malwarebytes on my computer and have no problems installing updates to or launching LC CC
When I told the technician about conflicts I had last year between Malwarebytes and Kaspersky, he said he was not aware of any conflicts. All I know is that when I uninstalled Malwarebytes last year and yesterday, it solved the issues I was having. Malwarebytes is a great program to delete malware, so when I need it, I pause Kaspersky and install Malwarebytes, run it to eliminate malware, then uninstall it. But, it obviously conflicts with something on my computer, so I don't leave it on all the time.
I finally found the problem. When I was having other issues with my PC earlier in the week, I called in a technician who installed Malwarebytes on my computer. It's a malware program that wouldn't let the Lightroom CC upgrade run or, perhaps, there was a conflict between Malwarebytes and my anti-virus program (Kaspersky). In either case, once I uninstalled Malwarebytes, I had no problem launching Photoshop CC.

I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling LR.
Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't work either.
