Could be starlings or swifts also. But my buddy Murphy says they are something I would never think about.

I fully agree.

The family name may be Swallow but I am not sure since I only met them once at Walmart. They were buying a bag of dried meal worms.

Yes, I will show myself out, no need to call security.

I must admit, I thought they might be swallows myself. Hang around you might learn something.

I have raised and released literally hundreds of these in a room set aside for the purpose. Shoo them our a window dozens at a times when a batch eclosed.
I got three generations a year, numerous broods. Fed on Sweet, or Star Gum.
Neighbors loved it.
Nice shots of my favorite Giant Saturniid.

The Far Side's Gary Larson loved buzzards. I wonder what kind of caption he'd have for that photo.

Maybe, pay your cell phone bill or else.

Excellent photo. Not sure they are actually following you, though -- more likely they perch up there to have better surveillance for more food.

The closest I ever got to a vulture was during a castle tour in Germany -- one of them featured a show with trained raptors. A vulture flew into the stands and sat down on a railing not 3 feet from me (drooling). I looked at it and said (loudly) I'm alive!

Thank you for your reply David, much appreciated.

They were on the side of the camp Mike, they took me by surprise, that's the first time I've ever seen them. Thanks, Mike.

I had no idea what these things were until I looked them up. Correction on the name of the moth, it is a Luna moth.

Every year I pack up my rescued animals and head to camp, the animals really enjoy the woods, especially the cats, At night I keep the rescued birds in the barn. The local critters also like to come and pay me a visit, this is Little Ben who likes to investigate the new arrivals, fortunately they are tucked away inside for the night. If you wish to see the baby raccoons, you will have to show up around three AM
