Well now we are in the attic may as well speak freely and I will say the reason your country is so politically divided is the the dumb arse half of the problem insist on wallowing in their own ignorance refusing to let anyone who might enlighten them speak. Why did this happen for example?

I and much of the rest of the world are laughing our asses off at what you elected for president. You might not see that because media in a lot of the rest of the world is as f**e as yours. Sky News Australia is one of the few news outlets that reports honestly on American politics check them out on the youtube channel they surprisingly are still allowed to have :).

The Sweden approach is now the goal?

Herd immunity not a 'goal' it is the only way life returns to a semblance of normality.

There is a reasonable argument that the sooner enough people are infected (and a proportion of them are k**led and left permanently damaged) the better. The problem with that is without measures to reduce t***smission rate the numbers simultaneously infected would overwhelm the available medical services resulting in significantly more deaths (possibly 5 times more or around 2.5% of the population).

That is what 'flattening the curve' is about, but, dumb people didn't understand the curve wasn't going away and keeping it flatter than medical services could cope with just prolongs the damage caused by measures reducing t***smission while only 'saving' the lives of people who die from something else in the meantime.

Dumb people and their politicians decided that no-one should be allowed to die from C****-** so we kept locked down hard causing huge damage to the economy and likely k*****g as many people in different less obvious ways. That was bad policy slightly justified by wishful thinking that effective treatments and v*****es would be found.

Turns out we have been very lucky with v*****e development and assuming we don't get unlucky with immunity dodging C****-** variants we are heading out of the woods pretty fast.

Unfortunately for Americans you were dumb enough to elect democrats who need people to remain s**t scared of C****-** so it can be used to justify their enormous spending spree on eco green bulls**t and c****e policies.

My sense is that herd immunity is a medical term not a scientific term.

Herd immunity is achieved when the disease t***smission rate falls below 1 in the absence of other t***smission reduction measures. CV-19 is hugely infectious which means about 80% of the herd needs to be immune.

Discussing doctors is usually not political.

lol. The younger woman in the photograph is one of the bestest doctors in the world, just ask Whoopi Goldberg.

It wasn't me that decided the line "Even Biden's useless team could come up with better photoshopping than that." was political and turned the rest of the thread into politics.

I have been using it for 3 years and so far have not heard any scuttlebutt of closure.

Users of Canon's Irista cloud storage service didn't hear anything about it closing until they did. Canon possibly even made some money from it by charging for extra storage. There are no free lunches and camera manufacturers are having a hard time. If Canon didn't think the service was viable I don't see why Nikon would think much differently.

Since you’re new to the forum, let me just gently point out that political comments belong in the attic section, not in the chit chat or main photography sections please.

Well if I'm not even allowed to criticise the president's press/PR team here then maybe photos of corrupt senile kiddy sniffers and the bestest doctors in the whole world should have been posted in the attic to start with.

Can't find Nikon gas - did find this Link https://www.nikonimagespace.com/ Sounds like the same thing.

Looks OK. 2GB storage limit or 20GB if you have registered a Nikon product. Wouldn't rely on it long term. Canon offered a similar service till they scrapped it last Janurary.

Even Biden's useless team could come up with better photoshopping that that.

Just looks like a wide angle lens to me. I guess about 10mm. I imagine the camera was less than a foot back from the older guys feet (which you will notice look huge). Crappy photo, but, if the photographer didn't have more space what else could they do?

The FBI warned Rudolph W. Giuliani in late 2019 that he was the target of a Russian influence operation aimed at circulating falsehoods intended to damage President Biden politically ahead of last year’s e******n, according to people familiar with the matter.

Politicians and the media spew misinformation, those on the political left are so much more likely to believe it. A gallop poll asked Americans what they thought the C****-** hospitalization rate is with the following results. Why are the democrat estimates so much more inaccurate than republican estimates? IMO because democrats are far more likely to believe crap they are told without question. I have said for months if 200 people get C****-** 6 end up in hospital and one leaves in a coffin. Some of the remaining 5 may leave with permanent damage, I never found good information on that.

Q. How do you know someone is vegan, or uses profoto lighting equipment, or always shoots in manual?

Bit late I know - only just got here.

Pretty girl with nice pose and I quite like the dark background. Shame about the lighting. Looks like the flash was zoomed in?

Even from the jpeg a lot can be fixed. I am a bit red/green colorblind so skin tones are a bit guess work, hope it looks about right.

Just registered.

I read a post elsewhere about someone moaning at Admin here about some abusive replies to their posts and the response from Admin approximately telling them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

I felt immediately drawn to this forum

Most forums I have joined eventually censor me and I ban myself because I won't stand for someone else retrospectively deciding what I did or did not say.

Lets see how long I last here, and, yes I am here for the photography, it is a hobby.
