I use to love photography, but since l lost my husband I just lost interest in pretty much everything. Plus, the lady I use to go on trips with no longer goes. Just need to get rid of it all. In the way.

Sorry for your loss. If you are not quite ready to give up photography, please consider joining our photo club. We have numerous members throughout Eastern NC and are quite active at providing local photo opportunities.

We also run 2-3 swap meets per year where you might be able to thin your collection. Good luck..

I wanted to contact the reseller Bought on ebay and I cannot find the reseller name I konw it was a camera store, but their name does not appear on the box Ideas?

Are you trolling us?

Go to your ebay account, purchases, and contact the seller.

As an ebay seller, I can assure you that ebay is way too buyer friendly. Anything not as described can be returned.

Hello All,

I am looking to produce a limited number of Christmas cards. Probably around 0ne to two hundred. These will be for sale not personal use.

I am looking for a company that can do this without costing so much they would be unsaleable.

Is there anyone here that has experience with this type of project and would you recommend them?

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Bob

My wife just informed me that she does not want a “big” camera like her D7200. She also has a D3500 and she likes the smallness. She said she wanted the Z50. They have a sale on it too with a lens for $699. My question is when you buy refurbished from Nikon can you return it if you don’t like it? Also I can’t find info on the warrantee if any. Your thoughts are welcomed

Photographically speaking, I'm in the doldrums. I haven't taken any pictures in quite a long while. I haven't even done any processing of my vintage images. No lightroom. No photoshop. No Topaz.

Do you ever get in the doldrums? If so, what do you do to get out of them?

I subscribe to a local daily news feed that lists many events going on in my community. Some of these can make great photo ops and are my incentive to plan and execute a shoot. Members in my photo club also identify 5-6 events per month that we use as informal gatherings to shoot, things like, car shows, festivals, parks, art-walks, etc.

After re-evaluating my original data, believe MOST of my exposures are definitely NOT optimal and thus require too much "fixit" post-processing... the Kestrel was seriously underexposed, not giving me a fighting chance to salvage an acceptable image... the D500 has been shipped back, but I still have the same lens now with the D800e and I know where the Kestrel lives... so next round should be better... thanks

I hope they clean the D500 sensor for the next renter!

No go from NC.
Interestingly, I can't get to ooma.com either.
Both have ties to Israel and disruption started when the war did.
I can get through using firefox, but not chrome nor edge.

Great camera. Beautiful image. The internet doesn't do it justice. I don't remember color like that when I lived in Utah! Thanks for sharing.

I don't actually know any more than rumors and a bit of personal experience. It would be nice if these sorts of things were independently evaluated.

Probably not. This auction was on a couple of weeks ago with the same products and a closing date. Apparently hardly any of it sold. There's supposed to be another lot coming up soon.

Thanks for tipping us off to this auction and especially your kind offer to do the pick-up for us. Yes, it appears most lots had no bidder, so I expect will be relisted at some point.

I got an email from NikonUSA this morning announcing one of their 4 day refurbished sales. One of the items offered is the D850 for $1999.

These are very sophisticated cameras. Unless the price being asked for the one you are looking at is well under $1000, my counsel would be to take a hard pass. A ton of folks dumped lightly used D850s in their stampede to mirrorless. There are much better choices available.

True, my interest has been more of a curiosity up to now. Current bid on the sick D850 is $340 with 2 days to go. Ironically, in tracking the market for used D850s (via Used Photo Pro) over the last 4 months, I've noticed no decline in prices. Apparently, at least so far, the market is easily absorbing all the Z9 trade-ins! OK Hoggers, no GAS for now.....I'm too busy welcoming Ophelia. Stay well.

Don't replace unless It's broken. Cost would be in the 300-400 dollar range.
For accurate quote call nikon at 1-800-645-6687

As I said in my post, Nikon would not quote without examining the camera. Thanks for your estimate.

How would you know if the shutter needs to be replaced and only the shutter?

Good point. Might need more than the shutter replaced. Or could be a different cause all-together. 468k on the count.

Do you have a problem? This is not a preventive maintenance action. Most shutters never fail, regardless of how many hundreds or hundreds of thousands over the shutter-life expected minimum number the camera performs. If you have a GAS problem, spend that money and worry someplace else.

Not yet. This is for a "for sale" camera that is advertised as having a failed shutter.
