Thank you Swamp-Cork, it was very windy. This was a few days ago when the snow storm was dumping in Denver. Just had high winds in my area, no snow.

male turkeys in there first year.
older male turkeys have longer beards 8 to 12 inches depending on there age they are called tom turkeys.
hen turkeys do not normally have beards although there have been one found here & there with a beard.
in the spring turkey hunting season hunters are not allowed to shoot a beardless bird.
this protects the hens so they can lay there eggs & hatch there young.


Thank you for taking a look and all the good info. The west end of the park is state wildlife area where turkey hunting is allowed, I think with shotgun or bow only, no rifle's.
