Yep,external only way to go....We have 4 years of sports pics,that is at least 2 games every weekend,and of 320 gb still have 280 free.

Would stress high ISO,panning and monopod
We regularly shoot rugby games at our local Westpac stadium at night with 30D and set to P mode at 3200.We get usable pics.They are not all perfect.
You could Google "Photo recovery",and retrieve lost pics.Saved me when I deleted our Mall Santa photos last year

You don't have stand in front toolong,most people will put up with a quick series of shots.

Absolutely,we need more like him.Here New Zealand we are getting sentences in courts that amount to the old slap on the wrist with wet bus ticket...the "do gooders" talk prisoners rights,what about the victims rights?????????
Must admit when we saw coverage on TV of your embassy being besieged,thought get out and take all your aid as well.Contact can still be kept under cover.
Or a monopod for ease of movement around area and shoot plenty.
