One photo says 1000 words. I'll let the photo do the talking.
What's holding you back from getting a new (or used) mountain bike? There are deals out there on Craigslist and mtn bike websites.
Near Dana Point is a single track mountain bike trail. With a telephoto lens the steepness was captured as two riders moved along the trail.
Thank you for taking the time to give me your input. Would you have put the horizon at 1/3 position and the paddleboarder at another 1/3? Or were you thinking of something else?
I think you have captured it very well. Nice colors too.
Late in the day the water turned to gold and a lone paddleboarder enjoyed the solitude in nature.
2 nights ago it was 35 degrees which is very cold for this time of year. The days were in the low 60's. The week before we made up for it ................80's! It all averages out!
Unfortunately, those photos were taken when it was warm. It's cold now there....... :-(
In September of 2011 we were hit with huge waves at our beaches. The Wedge in Newport Beach gets crowds of people watching the body boarders ride these waves. I found photographing the beach people very interesting. The other shots are of popular family beaches on that same day.
Fun shot. . . . . . . puppies!
Thank you all for your input on my photos. I appreciate everyone's thoughts.
Thanks Jules! I'll tell my son your comments!
The shadow in the center is being cast from the China Man Hat Island that the photographer (my son) was on. If you look at the lighting in the photo, you can see that the sun is behind him. China Man Hat Island is a giant cone and at that time of day, the shadow casts a shadow on the water. I suppose he could have used the clone tool to take out the shadow, but he made the choice to leave it like it was in reality. It was 4 exposures stitched together in Photoshop. He is 30 years old and a professional photographer. Here is his website in case you are interested:

In October of 2011 we visited Tombstone AZ. Attached are a few photos, some pretty much "as is" and a couple toyed with in Photoshop. Your comments weather positive or negative are welcome. The first two are nearly the same except the coloring. Which one do you like better?
