A syllogism is a premise, premise and a conclusion. A non sequitur is a syllogism in which the conclusion is not necessitated by the premise.

Is the US supposed to be the world's police? I could understand if a victim is a US citizen but in this case Khoshoggi was not a US citizen. It would seem that this crime should be handled by the UN or some other world police force.
If the US stepped in to punish the murder of Khoshoggi in his native country, I can imagine the l*****ts would vehemently attack the President as they did when we sent troops to Vietnam at the request of the government of South Vietnam and/or France.
Perhaps someone could explain this dichotomy.
