Wow, looks like lots of fun. I'll bet you've convinced a few hoggers to try African tenting.

It was an awesome trip!!!! The tour was around half the price of other tours I'd seen ... & they didn't cut many corners. They did 4 shooters to a Landcruiser (so Keith & I contracted for a private Landcruiser so we could shoot out both sides of the vehicle both low & high & still not get someone else's head in the photo). And the tour was 9 days, which I would have liked longer. However, I'd have to say that if the photos by you ... Photolady2014 ... Sark17 ... RetiredCPO ... & David in Dallas ... haven't convinced people to go to Africa & if they're physically able & can afford to go, then they're likely just not interested in spectacular wildlife. I don't think I've seen a better collection of wildlife photos than I've seen from the whole bunch of you. So thanks for the visit & comment ... & FYI, it was photos from you 3 ladies that convinced me to go. So thank you for that.

Nice shots ... I typically try to avoid spots that are that "popular" however your shots suggest I'll have to try that one sometime. Thanks for sharing.

It does look like you really were really roughing it! I liked all our tents as well or better than most hotels! Location, location, location and not to mention the people, they were all just the nicest people ever. I'm hoping that when I go back in August, the Coronal Virus will cause me to have to stay for a month or so!?!?!?!?

Thanks Beth. But I'm hoping there will be some serious progress on addressing that virus. It surely is throwing everything & everyone for a loop!!!!

But you're right about location ... I couldn't believe how much wildlife paraded back & forth to the waterhole in front of our tent. And the only thing separating us was a 5' deep ditch with an electric fence down in the ditch. My guess is it carried quite a jolt, so the animals never once tested it while I was there. Great memories & I too want to go back soon.

I shall await your new photos & thanks for the visit & comment.

Really nice! Wasn't it cool to see animals right around your tent! The buffalo are huge and the birds that follow them are fun to watch. Looking forward to more photos! See I told you that you would come home with not only great memories but great photos!

Thanks Beth ... yes, you did say that ... but the jury is still out ... I was so amazed at your shots, that I regard them as setting a high bar to try to meet. But I appreciate the positive comments & I agree completely about the thrill of seeing all these animals & birds. And we discussed previously, our tourist class trip ... if you get a chance, look at my most recent post ... it shows the kind of tourist class I enjoy!!!!! ;)

Hey Frank, I haven't received my modeling fee yet. I would like to see some action on this.

Well, you surely deserve it Keith ... however, UTMike (you know what those Army guys are like) ... he's taken over Finance & hasn't signed off on the expense yet. Sorry buddy ... but know you were appreciated none the less. ;)

Excellent post Cindy ... & great captures ... both the Eagle's & yours. I understand your husbands perspective ... but Nature ain't always nice. Looked like it was a decent sized trout & would have made a fine breakfast for you & your husband ... but it did result in some wonderful shots of the eagle ... & I got a chuckle out of it. Reminds me of an old saying ... there but for the grace of god go I. Great shots & appreciate you sharing.

woodweasel ... thank you sir ... & I'm pleased you enjoyed them.

David in Dallas ... Thank you David ... I appreciate the feedback. And I think we all have somewhat similar experiences ... Keith saw & captured things I didn't & we were in the same Landcruiser!!!! But the good news is we got to experience them in person ... something a lot of people never do.

I have enjoyed it. Although my posts have been getting mixed reviews based on my style.

Well, I've been so busy, I haven't looked at many posts of late, so will have to go look for some. But that said, photography is like art ... our tastes all differ. I've always hoped that people would give constructive advice on the Hog & my experience is most often they do. But like any medium, there are going to be people who see things differently. I say learn what you can from them ... then move on. As you post on UHH, you'll begin to see some folks are quite positive & constructive ... they may give you a critique, but it's thoughtful. Those are the ones I learn most from. Anyway ... good luck.

Thanks, Frank. Yeah, very impressive. That was a lot of lion food!

But I'd suggest only a stupid lion would attempt to bring down a buffalo in that crowd!!!! I'd also bet there are very few lions that stupid ... or they certainly don't last long. It amazes me that lions can bring one of those critters down ... even when the buffalo is alone. They are pretty dangerous critters.

Thanks FB, now that’s my wife’s idea of roughing it.

Yup ... that it is ... I'm guessing your wife likes 1st class ... nothing wrong with that. I have a 97 year old Aunt who used to say that "roughing it, was an outside room at the Holiday Inn." Thanks for the visit & comment.
