I would like to use a Minolta Bellows III I once bought for a Minolta film camera. I have the adapter that connects Minolta lenses to my Canon digital camera. But I can't seem to find sellers for the reverse adapter (Canon lens to Minolta body) that would fit on the front end of the bellows.

FWIW. Consider buying a Canon-to-NEX-or-m4/3-or-FUJI adapter which is appropriate to your particular lens ... the adapters are available on eBay from Chinese retailers for $10-to-$20 (why pay more?) ...

Remove the lens mount from the adapter AND from the front of the bellows ...

Glue(... with something like "GOOP" which can be undone)-or-Epoxy the appropriate Canon mount in place on the front of the bellows ...

Let dry/(cure) ...

DONE!!!

Hi I'm new to this forum and have a question/problem. I went out and took pictures all day yesterday. Almost through the day and my memory card reads damaged and I can't access anything now. Does anyone have any suggestions on the possibility of retrieving the photos? I have a Nikon D7000, a Mac and the memory card is a PNT 16GB. I am very low tech, so the simpler the solution, the better for me. I am very grateful for any suggestions. Thank you!! I enjoy this forum!

Could you clarify:

Are you certain that your memory card is actually damaged?

Have you used the particular memory card before?

If/When you remove the card & put it back in your camera AND THEN turn the camera on, does the camera tell you that there isn't a card in the camera OR that the card is not formatted for the camera OR something else?

BTW. When you read/(access) a memory card directly through your computer (vs. a USB cable), you may have to find the CORRECT FOLDER on the card which has the files.

I currently have a AF-S Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens and have been coveting the 1.4. In preparing to offload an old Canon AE-1 (which has been on a shelf in my closet for 20 years or so), I realized it was outfitted with a Canon FD 50mm 1.4 lens. So my question is, if I buy a $10 adaptor ring, will it provide the same results on my Nikon D610 as a Nikon 50mm 1.4? While I know it's a manual focus, will all other things be equal and thus I'll be able to determine if I want to spring for the auto focus Nikon lens, or will there be no comparison, and it's not worth the effort of acquiring the adaptor ring? Perhaps, I'd even just want to stick with the Canon manual focus lens? Thoughts?
I currently have a AF-S Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens and ha... (show quote)

FWIW. The FLANGE-TO-FOCAL-PLANE distance for vintage Canon & Nikon SLRs is different ...

_ 42.00 mm Flange to Focal Plane <--> Canon FL/FD
_ 46.50 mm Flange to Focal Plane <--> Nikon

THAT means that excluding the thickness of the adapter, itself, you are beginning with the equivalent of a 4.5mm extension tube ... so figure, by mounting your 50mm FD lens on your Nikon body you probably would be using the equivalent of a ~10mm extension tube with a Nikon mount lens if you were to use the hollow tube adapter which Amazon has.

As noted, the adapter which wingclui44 which has corrective glass is a solution, but the results may-or-may-not be disappointing ...

Okay, then at least I know that the Zuiko 35mm macro should have the same attachability. The saga continues as to what I will do with this adaptor......throw it in the "bone yard" with other long unused things or return it.

FWIW. Okay ...

I took another look at the picture of the lens mount on the adapter AND if 'I' correctly understand the problem, now, I will state that there should NOT be the minuscule "lip" on the inner diameter of the mount.

YOU can test/confirm whether the visible "lip" on the back edge of the inner diameter of the lens mount is the problem by removing the mount from the adapter & seeing if it can then be mated to your lens ...

If THAT "lip" is what is preventing your lens from being inserted enough to be seated against the mount then (beyond shipping the adapter back) two options come to mind ...

The first would be (when the lens mount is removed from the rest of the adapter) to take a half-round file & remove the excess material (kids, don't try this at home!) ...

The second is to simply replace the mount, itself, with one from a 4/3 extension tube (from China via eBay) for <$10 (requires waiting a couple of weeks for the extension tubes to arrive).

Hope that helps.

What OP thought he was buying, was the equivalent of the MMF-3 adapter: It fits a Zuiko 4/3 lens to a M4/3 body.
The 35mm mentioned by OP is the focal length of the macro lens he was trying to fit.

Thanks for clarifying ...

Original problem was that the adaptor fit onto my Olympus OMD E M-1 camera just fine. Unfortunately the adaptor, which is supposed to be the equivalent of an MMF-3, 4/3 adaptor will not take my 4/3 Zuiko lens....it jambs every time I try to attach it.

Communications with Viltrox has been disappointing. Comment made by person at Viltrox.....guess it doesn't fit your Zuiko 4/3 35mm lens.

FWIW / FYI. I have BOTH a 4/3 and a m4/3 camera body + 35mm Zuiko lenses ...

What YOU bought is an adapter to fit a 4/3 lens (hence, the 9-pin connector) to an m4/3 body and not a more plebeian 35mm OM Zuiko to m4/3 body adapter.

OR, am I completely misunderstanding what you are trying to accomplish?

Because, if you want to use a 35mm (?) Zuiko lens on your m4/3 camera body then you need to buy one of the DUMB (hollow tube) adapters (~$12+ on eBay).

BTW. The 4/3 mount and the 35mm Zuiko OM mount are almost the same ... regardless, it is surprising that you were able to even come close to mounting a 35mm Zuiko lens on the Viltrox adapter without damaging the pins.
