Nice plane! Where do you fly?
Port St. Lucie, FL Great Club and field. 1000' runway in grass with irrigation system to keep it green. That plane is a 42% Edge 540 of a real 540 Edge. 122" wing span. Gotta love it!!!
Just purchased a Bogen 3021 on ebay with a arca-swiss mount for $100. This tripod is not only sturdy and a little on the heavy side, but I am 6' and without the extension raised, I can look straight into the viewfinder of my Nikon. There are some used Bogen Manfrotto's out there. Just keep looking and you will find a steal.
Duh, sorry about that. And here I am critical of others about their spelling. Double Duh!!!
I don't see a way on this forum to set up a recommendation or user poll on camera bags. Wanting a nice shoulder bag with easy access to my camera.
Have looked at the Domke, Tamrac and Temba. Not sure about the metal clips on the Domke. Looks like it might be cumbersome to unhook top while on your shoulder.
Any and all insight to a great camera bag would be most appreciated from a new user.
From owning my own business for years, I can appreciate what you went through. Anytime you are in the blind when it comes to mail order items, it sometimes is a hit or miss. I am usually on the miss part! It was also nice that Helen responded quickly and took care of the problem. I recently ordered a camera bag that fit my needs on ebay though a company, won't mention the name, and 3 days later I still did not have a tracking number, I emailed them and explained that the package was not sent and to check out why. 11 days later and still no package. By the way, was suppose to come out of California. I did get my money back, but still no camera bag and am heading out on a trip and needed this. Now this was from a company that had a great track record as well. I chalk it up to karma!
Oh, still looking for a great camera bag! Anyone?????
Welcome BB6! I'm new too and just purchased a Nikon D5100 myself. Have the 18-55 and the 55-200. Looking to purchase the 70-300 soon. Looking forward to seeing some of your pics as well.
Thanks! Looking forward to increasing my knowledge on photography!

Why was there a version with 140 ft wing span, and one with a 21 foot wing span?
Honest question: This is a radio control model of the full scale B-29. I believe it is around a 30% to full scale. It is powered by 4 DA120 gas engines, producing approximately 56 hp.

Welcome to the Hog juicesqueezer. Like your pics and agree that the moving props are right on. ;)
Thanks, was pleased with those prop shots as well. Here is a picture taken at that same event of a B-29 with a 21 foot wing span. Picture wasn't centered like I wanted and the background was poor as well.
Looking to purchase a used SB-700 flash for my Nikon.
Just purchased my first dslr camera and settled on a Nikon D5100. I have been taking photo's for many years and finally decided it was time for an upgrade. I didn't realize how much I was lacking in photo knowledge. Wow! So now I find this site and will be searching through these pages to enhance my photography experience. Dad was a photographer in WWII and I enjoyed listening to his stories and putting that in perspective with the pictures he took. After the war he tried to go professional, but in the late 40's early 50's, it didn't put much money in the bank. However, he always enjoyed taking pictures and I guess I picked it up from him. Looking forward to learning something new each time I visit this forum.
Here are a few of the first pictures I took with this camera last weekend. Not the best, but hopefully, I will be improving soon. lol
