Very nice. I used to live in the PNW. Mount Rainier dominated everything.

that really depends on where in the PNW you actually live. A bit further south Mt Hood (11,250 ft) would dominate the landscape

Why does the OP want a DSLR? I don't know. I do know that it would be a bad choice.

It doesn't matter why he wants a DSLR... Just because you think it may not be a good choice, doesn't really matter. It is his choice and his choice alone.

Thank you CHG-CANON or I believe Paul. Here are some photos shot at different times. The last one I'm not sure of but the clutter shows up on most of the lighter photo's. I've cleaned the lens and camera mirror but it is still there. Do you think it might be mold? Would sigma be the right place to send it to get cleaned mold or not since it seems internal in the lens. Thanks. Always enjoy your help. Also I've noticed on some of your help you can tell the settings I've used in the camera. Is that special software?

On your last image of the moon and blue sky it is dirt on the camera sensor. I do not remember if the T5 has auto sensor cleaning or not, but if it does turn it on in the camera menu.

The Canon T5 does not have in body stabilization. If his Sigma lens does have OS it should be turned off. It would help greatly if you would attach a image showing the issue you are having and when attaching said image be sure to select "store original".

I find this interesting for many reasons. First, I should say that I don't consider myself an accomplished photographer, but rather, I use the means to capture events and memories for future viewing. The attached photo is of a 1923 Marmon Four Passenger Coupe often referred to as a Dr.'s Coupe. I spent ten years restoring this automobile and had spoken to the original owner. The reason I mention it is because this 1923 automobile was very advanced for its day. It was one of the first automobiles to use a pressurized oil system versus the splash system most common then. It also had an aluminum crank case and cylinders as the engine was a derivative of the Liberty Engines used in many of the WWI military aircraft. But the thing that caught my eye and that I think of most often is the steel disk wheels - yes in 1923. Wood spoke wheels were common then and up into the early 1930s. The wire spoke wheels became the first competitor, but steel, and the cast aluminum wheels became the norm much later. Back to the wood spoke wheels. These were built by wheelwrights: These craftsmen had been a staple in the skilled trades for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Then in a period of about twenty years, or so, this meticulous craft became an archaic memory. Every time I read or hear of of the changes in our technology that impact a product or industry, I can't help thinking of the Wooden Spoke Wheel and the thousands of craftsmen whose occupations so quickly vanished.

I agree with the others--1 and 2. How do you do it? Every time I get that close I get stung.

I use a medium range telephoto lens with extension tubes. Or use a medium range prime lens with extension tubes. Keeps you a bit away from those things that bite or sting. Anyway my friend "Buzz" likes having his picture taken.

Well if I have to Use a Backup Powerful Flash, I bought a ONN Flash (Wal-Mart Brand), that I got for my Current SX-50, & I Use it for a SLAVE FLASH! That has a Flat Screw On Stand, so that the Flash can Operate Alone, or Hooked on a Tripod, Cause if I Hook it on the Hot Shoe of my SX-50, & Shoot an Indoor Photo, the Image comes Out Blurry, cause the Flash Sync Shutter Speed on the ONN Flash Comes Out at 1/20th, or Lower, the Standard Flash Sync Speed is Set at 1/60th, or 125/the, or Higher if you have a Good Hi-End Flash with Hi-End D.S.L.R.

& This was to Replace My Other Flash... a Sunpack DigiFlash 3000, which I Bought with the SX-50 in February 2014, in which that Flash Acts Up on my SX-50, the Flash Photos are Dark at Times, & Giving out Good Flash Sync Speed at 1/60th, or 125th, but for some Reason, 4 Months After when I got the Sunpack DigiFlash 3000, it Started Acting Up, & it Took Good Zoom Flash Photos at 92 Feet, by me Adjusting the Flash Head.

I Took it to Samy's Camera here in Culver City, Calif when I Bought it & the SX-50 at the Same Time in February 2014, & they Sent it Out to be Looked At, & Sent Me A Replacement Flash, but for Some Reason Like the 1st DigiFlash 3000 it Half Ass Fires & Those Flash Photos come Out Dark, Even if it's a Far Flash Zoom within the 92 Feet Range, Half Good... Half Dark!

I can't Figure Out why the DigiFlash 3000 is Acting Up on my SX-50?

The Auto Focus Light on the Flash (Sunpack) when you Take Photos in the Dark does Not Work, the Same with my ONN Flash with my SX-50.

My ONN Flash I Paid around $32.00 at Wal-Mart, & it May Not Work Well Attached on my Hot Shoe of my SX-50 cause of the Slow Flash Sync, It Serves as a BackUp Slave Light if I Use My Built In Flash on my SX-50, & I don't know why my Sunpack DigiFlash 3000 is Tripping? It Hasn't been Dropped or Abused!

If I Bought the SX-70, I'd be Pissed if Canon Decided to Leave Out the Hot Shoe on the SX-70, the Reason I bought the SX-50 in the 1st Place, was because of the Features, Including the Hot Shoe so I could Hook Up a More Powerful Flash, & Avoid Using the Built in Flash so it Wouldn't Cause Battery Drain when Using the SX-50.

& By Not Offering a Hot Shoe, on the SX-70, it Puts Major Flash Drain on the Built In Flash, Even if I Used a Slave Light with the Built In Flash.

Why Canon... Why?

First and best guess, would be to save money in making it. Or to force one to buy a more expensive model that has a hot shoe. Take your pick, no matter which one you choose it still comes down to making money.

This Past Monday I was at a Best Buy Store in Burbank, Calif & I Saw the Canon SX-70 Bridge Camera & does Anybody know when this Model came Out & what Kind of Features this Camera Has?

I Tried to Work the Model at the Store, but the Battery was Dead!

If there is a Link to find out more about the SX-70, or Reviews on this Model that Quietly came Out I'd also like to know also!

I had No Idea that the SX-70 was Out!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a tripod mount for the Tamron 100-400 lens other than the $130 that Tamron wants for theirs? That seems a little pricey to me. But I also love my new lens so will pay it if there isn't anything equivalent for a lesser price.

Have you thought of using something like this. A possible solution.
