Oh Hi ORpilot,
You're right, Prineville is not far, and right on the way to the Painted Hills. I've also got a friend there who photographs a lot of wild horses. She and a few others from Prineville join us at the Cascade Camera Club meetings. If you'd like to join us, you'd be more than welcome. Bev

Hi David. We're in Bend at the base of Mt. Bachelor, which is the east side of the Cascades. Interesting images of Mt. Hebo AFB, thank you for your service. My godfather was in SAC. The high key image I posted was taken on the Miles River, just off the Chesapeake. Hope you're enjoying Dallas.

Morning, I've been following your forum for a couple months, joined in Nov., so thought I'd better introduce myself and say "Hi". We retired to Central Oregon 14 years ago, as we missed the seasonal changes living in the Bay Area the previous 37. I'm initially from just outside Chicago and my husband from Pittsburgh.

I've been photographing for about 20 years, starting with transparencies, and I shoot Nikon as it just fits better in my hand and I can still use older lenses. I don't mind computers, so it was an easy transition to digital and learning about post processing. I was rather left brained in my career, so it's been a challenge (but fun) to shift to right brain for photography, but Photoshop opened up a whole new world offering way more options for post processing than I'd imagined.

I enjoy photographing anything outdoors, so I've photographed our Cascades and high desert areas, and currently am trying something newer to me with high key and soft focus emphasis.

I love that I can see all your interesting images posted on this forum and the tips for improving my skills.

Really enjoyed your ethereal presentation of the tea cup. Haven't tried a Lensbaby myself yet. Happy New Year!

Wonderful sharp and well composed images. I've never seen as colorful a bee as you present in your 2nd image.
