Great images Katy and sharp. Had to laugh at the upside down back side of the stilt. Used to live in the south bay and enjoyed photographing these wonderful shore birds at the Sunnyvale salt flats. Also made a couple trips to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. Bev
What a wonderful idea, I really enjoyed your image. Bev

Thanks for checking out the little River Otter. Bev
Thanks for your comment Katy, he was fun to watch. He resides at our High Desert Museum and I'll get a chance to photograph both of them in a could months. Bev
Whew, so glad it worked. I like to work in 16 bit also. You can always down size/crop a copy, but you've always got the original larger size to go back to if needed. Good luck. Bev
I shoot Nikon and when I click on my RAW (NEF) image in Bridge to open it in Photoshop (CC-2018), it opens in the Acobe Camera Raw converter first. In this converter file, under the image on the bottom menu bar is a link which describers your current settings. It may be a light gray in color, but when clicked it'll open up a dialogue box called Workflow Options. That's where you can select 16 bits/channel as well as color space, sizing, output sharpening and if you want your image to open in Photoshop as a Smart Object, make your selections, then hit save. You're back in the RAW Converter file where you can make your slider options, but now then when it opens in Photoshop, should be 16 bits/channel.
Hope this isn't too wordy and that it helps. Bev
He's been alone for a while, a new mate is coming in a week or so. Thanks Angela for your comments. Bev
