On Sony the images and videos are in different folders on the SD card. The SD card reader is probably only finding the photo images. I have a 6500 and it is what happens.
Also depends on camera brand and model. Sony have their own apps to tether.

Actually it’s real easy to save in daily date folders. After shooting, plug your SD card into the computer and then use Sony’s Play Memories program to download the images. They are then saved in Daly dated folders automatically. Easy, peasy!
I store all my photos this way and then i move them to another master directory named Lightroom with subfolders by subject, place, etc. I then use this as my import folder for Lightroom.
I also have a raid drive copying these two master folders to the second drive continuously. This way I have a master folder by date and a master folder by subject all backed up.
Now that is really funny.

I was very interested in your posting as we are planning a very similar trip for April next year. After a Viking River cruise in Amsterdam we plan to trim to Bruges and Normandy and were planning on some of the same sites: Bayeux Tapestry, Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Mont St Michel, Giverny, Chartres and Paris.

I plan on taking my Sony a6500 with a 18-200mm as a main lens and a wide angle for churches etc 10-18mm. I will also take my little kit lens 16-50mm as with that on I can just take the a6500 and kit lens on like evenings out etc where I just want on unobtrusive camera over my shoulder.
Can you post the final result. Would like to see it.
I like the 1st one best. I like the clear water splash and sun. The other two I am not very keen on the water and reflection in the foreground, to me it feels that needs to be cropped off.
Maybe better yet is “Old Washington”, the New Washington is a complete disaster - Witness the Senate latest debacle with the Supreme Court Nomination debate.
