All insurance rates are increasing because claims are increasing all over the nation. A year ago I switched from USAA, which I had been with for for more than 50 years, when I decided to shop around. I went with Hartford (via AARP) and cut my yearly home and auto insurance bill by more than half!

I’m going to look into this thank you for sharing. I always heard USAA was less expensive than the other insurance companies but when I got an auto quote a couple of years ago they were not so I’ve stuck with Progresive but I’m not happy with them anymore so I’m gonna shop around. I’ll look at Hartford also through AAA.

"One A Day" was a quite-publicized vitamin pill of decades ago. Not sure those vitamin pills are still available.

I thought about that, but I do remember the one a day vitamin I can’t remember if I took them or not but I started taking supplements and things in my teens.
Your coloring work on these images is wonderful. It just brings them to life more fully.
Again, your time and efforts are very much appreciated and happy new year to you brother.

I shot these in my bedroom with my curtains pulled over and pinned to my wall. The light glowing behind me is from the bedside lamp. I hope y’all had a lovely holiday!

Others have already said my first impressions, so I will say it anyway.
Very elegant and tastefully done.
And yes, I wish more women would step in too.

Another in this series. This young lady came to the beach with a girlfriend. Photos were taken of each of them individually and also together. This photo was a fun one to 'upgrade.'

Cut and smoothed holes in the tray carefully inserted breast and shot, laughing all the while.

Interesting creation, Frank. The breasts look like pastries.

We have here an image of a voluptuous lass. I expect that this image will result in numerous comments :-)

Well, I might as well comment since you’re expecting some. I must say she is absolutely gorgeous in all aspects but she has exceptionally beautiful breasts and nipples. I would sure love to see her today.
This is a perfect image. It is framed and captured excellently, and her facial expression was called at the right time.
That’s my comment Jim.

This Maternity Session was shot several days ago... 12/24 (8 hours including prep and wardrobe changes)
The Model was the AD on the Shoot and managed Wardrobe
Her significant other was the lighting assistant
Both were absolutely critical for a successful outcome in as there is no way I would attempt this solo.

The greatest challenged was by far Illumination...
It took several days to setup and balance illumination
I used a Nikon D300s with an AF-S 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR-II DX Nikkor for that task (the D300s is pretty much identical to the D810 in required features & controls) and with the VR-II the Gimbal Mount was redundant i.e. only used for the actual session shoot.

Please realize that nearly all my Kit is either Refurbished or Previously Owned. What I'm sharing with you here is there actually is a relatively low barrier to entry for Studio Scenarios. In my experience as a commercial makeup artist on many many commercial jobs the greatest challenge to a DYI home studio are 11 foot ceilings. This is critical for working with 5'11" fashion models who can't do vertical narratives (jumps etc.) even without arms raised. Albeit I can Beauty Genre work with a typical 8' ceiling (however for serious Beauty Genre a Hair Light is Critical to the mix and thus requires at least 10' ceilings)

Posted Below is the AD's first pick... Delivered in 24 hours... another dozen to go (at a more civilized rate)

If you are serious about shooting commercial assignments you'll likely need a Studio (they are readily available in nearly all major Metro areas) many even have rental kit available also. However to master studio illumination by renting studio space is akin to taking an Uber for a cross-country vacation... a.k.a. It is very time intensive...

Hope this helps or is at least food for thought...
Wishing all a fabulous Holiday Season and an Epic successful Photographic Journey in the New Year ahead!
Cheers! Thomas

As always, your photographic work is excellently done, very professional, and very well explained. I learned from your images how to try to get the lighting and details on things I try to capture.
Now as far as these two images are, I can’t think of the words to describe how wonderfully beautiful this time that the mother shared as she will have this to show her child later on Later on in life.
I retired from working in hospitals, and I can truly attest to the fact that nurses are very special. It takes a special calling to do what they do.

I'm sorry to say that often what we are given with the images of the internet are posted by hacks.

Be low I add the tenth image in it poor state that I then modified to give a much more and correct presentation of the manner the image should be rendered. I have used Photoshop and guided by my knowledge of what an image like the one shown would have been crafted by the past photographer to render the image in a quality that would be of a type that the internet can produce.

Nice post and descriptions of a bygone era. Nice work Tim, you never let us down.
