This sure speaks well of the Tamron lens. Wow, crystal clear.

Thanks! Yes, if I do my part (handheld), then the lens will do its part most of the time.

Beautiful photos and I love the second one. Is this taken after the focus of the lens was fixed....Rich

Yes, just took the pic yesterday. I used 61 point auto focus with initial focus point selected by me. (Just in case it started to run). I think the Tamron focus works well now. No micro adjustment needed either.

That's a really big 6 pointer and an old deer. Either inferior genetics or on the way down. Nice photo, BTW. He has an old wound on his right ear.

I think you're right about the genetics. We have a herd of them with the same odd lumps on their hind legs that turn into open wounds. Also a few leucistic deer in the same herd.

Every one is a great shot. Were these taken with the return of your lens for the second focus problem that you had....Rich

Rich, glad you liked them. No this was before the second problem. The lens is currently on its way back from Tamron. Should be back home Monday.

A very pleasing series, beautifully photographed. The framing, light and details of #1 are awesome!!

I appreciate your comments Linda :D. It was morning light, somewhere between 7am and 8am. I shot for 1 hour, two days in a row. Both days the same time of day to optimize light. After 9am its a waste of time.

About a thousand images. I'm still going through them.

Very nice set. I am wondering how the Cormorant is going to get that fish off his/her bill and swallowed.

He struggled for awhile but got it down. I'll have to see if I got any more in that series that I passed over...too many pictures to go through.

With Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm handheld with crops. Yes, the last one is a Anhinga, and he did down that fish.
