Well, I had a good night’s sleep and just now got up. Making responses.

nimbushopper, thanks for coming! Yes, it is a beautiful church.

yssirk123, thank you very much. I’m pleased you liked them.

BurghByrd, I appreciate your nice comments. You’re welcome. Yes, the cathedral was damaged in WWII. If you viewed Part 2, there were images of the Nave Organ, which appears to be a “swallow’s nest” style; however, it is not fastened to the wall of the Nave—the wall is a historic structure and could not be marred—instead, it is supported by 4 heavy steel cables from the ceiling, which was replaced after the war and not historic.

Hi, blacks2! Nice to see you. Thanks so much for the 4 thumbs. I’m glad you liked the set.

Bayou, I don’t think I’ve seen you before—thanks for coming and the very nice comment. I thought I needed to include those “attic” shots because so few people actually get to see how it is put together.

merrytexan, always nice to see you. Thank you very much. I’m happy you liked them.

Richard, you’re very welcome. Thanks for coming. I was sure the “attic” shots would intrigue folks.

Jay, thank you a lot. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Hi, Joe! Thank you very much! I’m happy you viewed all 3 sets.

Jay, always happy to see you. Thanks for the thumb! I’m happy you enjoyed it.

rmalarz, I’m not sure I’ve seen you before—thanks for coming. I appreciate your nice comment. And yes, the only one in our country built the old way is the National Cathedral in DC. (You’re located not far from my birthplace—Bartlett Dam; really—at the dam.)

Earnest, always glad to see you. Thanks for the nice comment. I’m happy you liked them.

Doug, thank you very much! I’m pleased you liked them.

Thank you... brings back memories. Love your pictures. We lived in Germany from '69 to '73 (I was in the US Air Force) and visited Cologne at least once. I couldn't find where I may have scanned any of my slides but my memory tells me it was covered completely in scaffolding for repair/renovation at that time. Really pressing my memory here but I don't think we were allowed to go inside the cathedral... may have had to do with the work going on. Lately, we have been longing to visit your area of Texas... have some grandchildren in Frisco.
Thank you... brings back memories. Love your pict... (show quote)
Well, when you get here, be sure to let me know (Private message works for me) and we'll have lunch or dinner together!

My tree only has lights--it's a pre-lit artificial tree. When I got indoor cats I stopped putting ornaments on the tree because they attracted the cats. Prior to that I had real trees with hand-strung lights and ornaments. I've still got one ornament that had been on my first Christmas tree more than 80 years ago.

I have a fairly nice light display at my house (posted elsewhere) but nothing that involved. I wouldn't begin to know how to do all that animation (nor could I justify the expense).

FWIW, there was a lighted Creche scene in that display.

Very nice! (I probably would have said "Lighthouses", but it's your set.)

Nothing wrong. To each his own. I shoot JPEG and am very satisfied with the results and have not been kicked off the UHH site. Others prefer RAW or TIFF. If it makes you happy.....that’s all that matters.
Same here. I only do JPEG and am perfectly happy with it. I use Lightroom to post-process and generally can do anything I need to. I'm not overly fussy, and have posted many photos here on UHH and seem to have pleased a lot of viewers.

Joe, I think it's just gold leaf, not much of it involved.

BigMike, I agree. Thanks for coming.

Mike, thanks a lot. Happy New Year to you, too!
