So what's left?? And why doesn't the list include centered shots of birds, grandchildren running around the yard and macros of flowers?

Don't pick on the birds! Birds are good :)

Hey, I take exception to bokeh and blurring waterfalls. Sunrise and sunset snaps- my objection is to the big blown out sun included. Have to agree with street photography. Most of what I see are random shots without much fore thought. Photographing the homeless- why? IMO- it's really a national disgrace that we don't shelter the ones that can't shelter themselves for whatever reason. Your list isn't too far off- the tone will get reactions.

Like it! And I like the darkness around it-add mood and makes one wonder.

I found this at fstoppers.com and found the subject interesting. Maybe someone else might too...?

I read a short story somewhere about a photographer who came to a friends house for a dinner. The host greeted him by saying that he had seen some of the photographer's amazing pictures. "You must have a really good camera." the host said. The photographer didn't give much of a response.

When the dinner was over and it was time to leave the photographer thanked his host properly for a very good meal and said "You must have a really good stove." 😂

I've made myself the promise to use the same tactics next time I am in a similar situation.

The article was interesting but the responses were even more so. The only thing for sure is that everyone has their own opinion!

They're not intended for highway use although that unit will withstand a lot of force. They're used for running between fishing spots on a river without breaking down your rods and having to re-rig them at each location. It saves a lot of time and helps prevent breakage.

And that's where these folks were- at the Mollala River.

I've seen a lot of photographs of Thor's Well but this one is quite different- and I mean that in a good way. Did you get wet getting it?

Good Morning-
I googled your query - not much out there. There is the Nikon software and there is a plug in for LR. Other than that I'm coming up pretty empty. You are shooting with Panasonic I believe. Maybe it would be helpful to go on their website/forum and ask. My Fujifilm X-T2 has a built in display to view focal points- have you tried rotating through you camera display to see if there is a screen to display those points?

I have had a Flicker Pro account for several years, started back when they gave unlimited space for pro accounts, even though they did eliminate the unlimited space they allowed unlimited to be grandfathered for older accounts...I would expect there will be changes, I will be interested to see what they will be for current account holders.

I have a free account but would be willing to upgrade. The fate of Flickr will undoubtably be based on whether it is profitable-that seems to be the way of things. Huge data base- it's got to be a headache to maintain.

I wonder how Flickr will be affected with the sale of Yahoo to Verizon. I do most of my posting on Flickr and whatever else you can say about it, it's one of a kind. (Yes I know about SmugMug and Fine Art America and FB- not the same IMO). Anyone else wondering if Flickr will change ?

Pick up a couple of "Brides" magazines (if they are still being published). They will have a checklist of images to be taken. Ask the bride and groom what poses THEY would like. I'm sure they have some in mind.
I think this is a great opportunity for you. Everyone knows you are not a professional photographer so expectations should not be at that level- I don't see any need to have a written disclaimer. You have great equipment. Whatever you provide is more than they would have had otherwise considering they opted not to hire a photographer.
Take a backup camera and lots of extra batteries. And shoot in Jpeg/Raw. And- have fun :)
