Thinking of doing more black and white and wonder if I should set my camera to shoot that style or just make the change in my photo editing program. Any suggestions?

I bought a Black and White photography course on Udemy back in 2014. BTW, I always wait until a course goes on sale because the list prices are way over my budget. The list prices seem kind of crazy, actually.
Anyway, this course is authored by David J. Nightingale and he covers various methods used to produce B&W from a color image.
He uses CS3 in the course, which I had access to at the time.

I'm also from South Jersey. Don't know where you are but there are at least 2 camera clubs, Shutterbugs in the Vineland;Millville area and another in the Atlantic County Shore area. I don't know the name of the second one or what town but some online searching could help you find something in your area. I know there are other Hoggers in our area as well. Welcome aboard.

I live in Burlington Township.

Hello to all! I've had a life-long love of photography and have pursued when financially possible. Marriage and kids can cut way into the photography budget.
My wife bought me my first digital camera back in 2001: an HP PhotoSmart 618 3MP. I love the digital age!

I've been getting the UHH newsletter for a while now, but don't know how, where, or when I signed up for it. Registered for the forum yesterday.

I agree. She has a raspy hard rock blues, jazzy voice. I saw her in a concert of course decades ago with Big Brother and the Holding Company. Through YouTube, I have saved every song in their library. She OD and is now a memory. Every once and while when I'm alone I will play her songs, drink a little too much Mcallans, and just lay dead.

I think I prefer the "unperfect" singing voices. There seems to be more soul in those voices, Bob Dylan excepted.

I had a quad system and 9 channels of sound in my large living room. To play JJ recordings it was as tho she walked around the room singing. Now downsized and 2 channels and failing hearing she is still revered and in my audio memory.

How many remember 8 track play-back systems... fantastic... even the quad system has disappeared and we are left with Dolby.

I once had a 4-channel 8 track deck in my car (1974ish?). The sound quality was amazing, especially my Carly Simon "No Secrets" album.
