You quoted the reason and here why it matters.

"Are Japanese fingers more agile and capable of precision work than fingers in India, China, Europe or elsewhere around the world?"

Either the Japanese are better workers or the companies c***ted the workers from South East Asia. Either case it's not a good thing and I do not support companies that do so.
Unlike Japanese cars companies have their production in the US because it's where they sell the most cars. They don't sell the most cameras in South East Asia. The make it there only the c***t the poor workers.

C***t the poor workers!
What a narrow view of our commercial world.
A total lack of understanding of our world-wide economic system, capitalism, and even modern socialism.
Our modern education system has totally failed our young people who learn nothing about history, economics, mathematics, and cognitive thinking. Our education system has succumbed to the Teachers Union, left-wing Socialist/C*******t radicals, WOKE, Counter Culture, g****r confused generation.

What would those S E Asian workers do without the technology and investment brought to them?
They have been trained with modern day sk**ls, given a lift from poverty, earn higher wages than their indigenous predecessors, etc., etc.
Pitiful degeneration of our Greatest Generation of WW2.

Try a tourist trip to Bangladesh or Guatemala for a real education.

Your message made me interested in this 1985 USS Saratoga visit. There is another detail to it. This visit was delayed due to the operation involving the carrier’s aircraft in forcing Egyptian charter flight with hijackers of the cruise liner Achille Lauro to land in Sicily, were they were arrested. This fact probably provide more time for those Italian pros to arrive to greet the seamen.
Thanks, Bill, much appreciate your attention.

Yes, this followed the Achille Lauro incident where the terrorist hijackers pushed a crippled Jewish man in a wheelchair into the ocean to drown.

The Navy also transferred other ship's sailors to the USS Saratoga for that docking, so the "fleet was in".
The lesson: Check with the prostitutes for US Navy ship docking schedules.

A coastal brush fire swept over the Dubrovnik hotel where my wife and I stayed--no harm to the fireproof hotel so everyone was safe.
I was at an oilman's convention south of Dubrovnik. The highway was closed because of the fire, so we walked back in the smoke. A number of those Yugo-Slav's attending were veterans from WW2. I was much younger and physically fit, but struggled to keep up with them--tough people.
Nice pictures of a beautiful ancient city.

Keep the engine running for a fast get away. Bears can peel a car open like a tin can.
Especially Mother Bear with cubs.

I need a new battery for my D5500. B&H offers a Nikon battery (1800 mAh/13.3 Wh) for $40 and a Watson battery (1150 mAh/8.28 Wh) for half that price. I've never had a problem with B&H products so I'm wondering if there's any reason not to go with the cheaper battery since the amps and watt hours are roughly the same? I'm assuming the Watson will work with my Nikon charger since the dimensions and contacts have to be the same.

If price is no object, is there a superior product I should use in my camera?

The Badlands of Caledon in Canada. A mysterious landscape. . .

The Cheltenham Badlands are a series of bare, windswept red hills and gullies in southern Ontario that formed as a result of overgrazing. In the 1930s, the area was still productive farmlands, but poor farming practices resulted in the creation of the rolling martian landscape.

I really liked my Olympus OM's, and bought 4 of them, one for each of my sons.
When I had my first malfunction and went to Olympus for help I was told they no longer supported those models.
Big disappointment.
Have purchased Sony, Nikon and Canon since then.
