I was there on April 9th thru Monday noon on April 12th and I shot 3,155 images. Attached are some of them.

That's not the tripod for that lens. I believe its a Gitzo 1227 or 1228, a very lightweight unit that can hold the 200-500 very nicely but not the heavy 600. To best use your 600 is with a Gimbal head and CF tripod. Check KEH for used CF tripods and Wimberly for a used WH-200.

You will NOT know what type of CPL was used. But you can tell if it was a cheap one. The image that comes from the camera depends on how good the lens and camera are as well as technique used. Whether a $50 or a $150 CPL you CANNOT see any optical difference. I use mine on 12mp, 24mp and 36.3mp cameras and there is NO difference in the CPL on any of those cameras.

The pink whale whale shot with about a $20.00 CPL. While the car shot was done with about a $40 to $50.00 CPL.

Yes, common sense does.
I'm not a Youtuber.
I'd just like to see a discernible difference in, lets say an 8x12.
Not talking about shooting for NatGeo,
just your average Ralph.
You know, non-pixel peepers and non-perfectionists.

Here are two photos. Whale photo was shot with a cheap 72mm CPL. The car photo was shot with a 82mm CPL. Notice the pink/magenta of the whale photo. This is the tell all of cheap CPL's. You could buy a 82mm CPL for between $19.99 to $147.00. Notice in the car photo the CPL removed the glare off the window on the car.
But you should check on a sheet of white paper. If it shows pink send it back

Am looking for advise on filters. There is a very large variance in prices of filters and looking for advise on which ones to purchase. I have checked "search" and have seen advice on which brand to purchase and most recommend the expensive brands but am not sure why. Is there really a large difference in filters that justifies the price disparity ie $10 to over $200? I have just purchased a Canon 24-70 f2.8 l lens and do not want to put the wrong filter on this high quality lens. Thanks for your input.

Take a piece of white bond paper-set it on a counter and lay the CPL on the paper. If you see pink looking through the CPL send it back. This is one of the things that separates cheap from expensive.

Here is my great nephew at bat. This were shot using my old D3 with an old SW 80~200Mm F:2.8D and a SB-910 strobe. I set the camera at 1/2000, shutter priority and I set the strobe to repeat. There is a MagMod on the strobe. Check out his concentration.

I bought the 77 x 82 step-up ring from Ebay so B&H lost this sale. I know where I can buy lenses and cameras and have to pay taxes. I'm retired so I use calendars anymore. What would someone do if they wanted to buy a D6 or D5 ? Have to wait a week? makes to sense. Adorama is in New York so they are probably closed also.

Well I've grown tired of dealing with B&H, seems like every time I want to make purchase they are closed for some reason. Passover is not a national holiday. I understand it is observed on a Sunday but why not be open on Monday? It make no sense.

I was looking for a 77 X 82 step-up ring for my 18mmF:2.8 and when I tried to pay it they said the were closed for some type of holiday. Well I opened google and asked if March 28th is a holiday and there is not one showing. So what gives? I went on ebay and bought one for about half of what B&H wanted.

Additionally I used D21 focus points, I always run at 14 Bit and use auto iso
