Thanks Steve.
I knew a few of them but these sheets tell me I still have a lot of learning to do. Everyone you remember is a time-saver.

Make sure your anti-virus is not performing a scan at a time that you will be using your computer as this will slow your computer right down.
This happened to me and I set my anti-virus scan to run at 3:00am. With the problem being intermittent, it may just be coincidence that you were working on D4s files at the time.

Talk about having a flood of memories, who would have dreamed as a child that 95% of that functionality would reside in the phone in my pocket. Thanks for sharing the link.

With most DSLR's there is a feature 'clean sensor now' also options to clean when switching on or off or both. Where does the 'debris/dust' go ? surely that must be cleaned sooner or later and how ?

I always wondered about this myself. It could not just lie at the bottom of the camera or when changing from landscape to portrait shooting, the dust would fly all over the place.

Thanks rjriggins11 for your reply. I think the strip on my D300s must be clogged with dust as I have several sensor spots (easy enough to clone out) so it looks like a trip to the cleaners

I ALWAYS verify that the images have been copied (not just transfered) over to my storage hard drive and also correctly imported into Lightroom. Once verified in both places, I put the card back into the camera and use the camera to format the card.

Good system and one that I use. I have lost files from hard drive (idiot error) and had an external drive that packed up on me, but not at the same time.
Using this system you always have a back up

I kind of like the idea. It would be a good way to break the ice between people with a common bond.
I've enjoyed reading the replies and had a good laugh.
hlmichel makes a good point though, it's easy to hide behind your avitar!

just plain dumb...move, by a company that makes quality products...

They are quality products and changing the name and all the logo's will come at a price. No prizes for guessing who will bear the cost! :hunf:
