Barn along route 3 between Colebrook and West Stewarstown in NH. Not sure how much longer it will be around so wanted to get a photo. It must have been a real beauty when first constructed and painted.

Thanks, David. My wife and I recently spent a week in Franconia and two days of the week touring covered bridges. We missed this one so thanks for posting it.
Thanks.

Thanks. Yes it is. Some guy on a bicycle was coming through and I almost didn't see him.

Nice picture. Brings back good memories. I visited there last year on a fly drive from the UK because my surname is Cornish . We don't have bridges like that over here.
Thanks.

This is why it is better we do not engage in an intellectual debate. If this is the best you can do, I've got you so outgunned it's simply not fair.
You really need to find another venue to showcase your intelligence.

Really great shots. I love the first one for showing the "grain" in the rock and the fact that the hole is through to the stream below. Nature is really wonderful.
Thanks.

Not trying to hijack this post but in all my travels this is the only place I have seen so many in one spot.
These are at the base of a steep ravine that is probably 3,500 ft to the top at 6,000 ft and as you see ends on this granite rock. The water comes crashing down from the snow melt and drives the rocks in the bottom to grind away a little more every year.

The first time I saw these there were young boys playing in them - up to their waist and shoulders in some.

This natures carved heart is almost directly across the river.
Not trying to hijack this post but in all my trave... (show quote)
Thanks for sharing these photos. Great way to combine two similar but both unusual examples of the forces of nature.

Great images - I'll try to find and post some I have of some local ones that are ground out of granite -
Thanks, I appreciate that.
