Not sure why there is an out-of-focus contest anyway, all you have to do is look at the daily gallery posts, there are always lots of them that are out of focus!

I'm fairly new here so at first I thought I would just keep quiet. Look at the stir you've caused fdildine…lol. So initially my thoughts were with MT however, perhaps some colorful Christmas lights "severely" out of focus may have some artistic merit…just saying. ;)

I've been hovering here at UHH for the most part and learning from the sidelines, but now have asked for advice. I just want to thank the seven of you for reading and responding…thank you very much, it was helpful.

Hopefully in time I will be able contribute in the same way to someone in return. Larry

I have zero experience when it comes to post production work. My wife and I are considering getting a "Mac" (the current computer is soon to be relegated "boat anchor"), but for the time being and because of convenience, what little time I have is spent on the iPad 3. So until I'm ready to tackle the real McCoy on a Mac ( learning curves don't scare me)...
...is there anybody out there that can recommend an editing application for iPad that has the most bang for the buck. There's a lot of them out there (some goofy) but right now my attention is drawn to "Filterstorm Pro". Can anyone shed some experiential light on this subject?

Get over it.

Hi there,
Been watching UHH for a bit now and thought I would take a moment to say hi. My name is Larry, took photography in H/S, drifted away some and am now renewing the passion. Here's something a few of you may enjoy.

Welcome. That's a nice shot! I've never been able to catch a dragonfly in flight. Little buggers won't stay still long enough.

Thanks Canonfire, yes they're very fast, does help when they're swarming though.
