I think we might have scared her off.

Carolynrae: It's OK - we really are harmless. Well, most of us, anyway.

Or are we?

Well, the process is interesting but the upper right corner is 'blown out'. The horizon needs to be straightened and there are shadows on the faces, perhaps lighten them a bit. The white balance is off ever so slightly, but the DOF is right on IMHA. Ohhh, ohhh, would you mind if I played with the photo a bit?

Thanks for giving me my first good laugh for the New Year. I can relate to traffic jams from where I reside. Getting off the island is always pain. You managed to get some nice pics for your efforts though. Have a great New Year!

When taking landscapes which show the horizon line, one of the first things you should do is to make sure that line is straight. All three photos have uneven horizons, most notably in number three. So, be careful of your composition, or straighten the horizon in post processing. Hope that helps a bit. :)

After you attach the picture do not hit preview, which will delete the picture. Perhaps that is the problem. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for sharing, looks like everyone had a good time. By the way, in picture number five the proper name for that bird is the 'New York City Eagle'. They may look harmless but beware!

I live on the river and have a negative attitude toward people who fish it. Styrofoam worm cups, lines and hooks. Not to mention drink cans. I even once saw a rerigerator float down once, but I wont blame that on fisherpeople.

I was wondering where my fishing refrigerator went. Always kept my worms and beers in there.
