Actually HE did not declare the use of chemical weapon illegal nor did he create the 'red line', if I recall, the war in Iraq was about this unfamous 'red line', remember??? The Ligue of nations did. Syria that did not exist as an independent country at the time (1925?) is not a 'signator', one of the very few countries who have not agreed to ban this weapon.

Reading the reviews on B/H from buyers of each of the above, I am left confused on what to buy or just stick with my D 300.

It seems that the D 600 has a big problem with oil spots. The D 7100 can't focus in low light and the D 800 has files that are too big for most average photographers.

Help.

I am just an average amateur who is thinking of upgrading at this time. Maybe I should wait. I take landscape and birds and sports involving grandchildren.

I shoot with a Nikon D800e, an upgrade from the D300. I had to send my D800e for warranty repair and regretted it's absence while using the D300.
I am supposed to get the D800e back this week and will relegate the D300 to a dusty backup use.

The problem I had with it was not reported by anyone else (that I could find) so it was fluke, not a design or manufacturing ill to be fixed on all.

Now if you are an 'amateur' the price maybe hefty but then again, who knows.

If you want God to work in your life, to show you the Way, the Truth and the Life....you've gotta do some talkin' to Him!! Study His Word, read the Gospels and pray.

I know all you naysayers will say I'm preachin' this morning. I apologize if it comes across that way. This was just something that was on my heart today. Cheers to all.

Always love a moron who comes on threads as a 'christian-full of love-and-faith-and-whatever'... When this same person interferes with other folks threads just to irritate them, by his own admission. Very 'christian like' if you ask me.
This shows the hypocrisy behind it all. (Not to mention the lack of reading and understanding skills)

Lack of reading skills... did not pay attention to the beginning of the thread. Lack of understanding AND reading skills when the 'preacher' said the post was wrongly referenced. It was about NOT being an artist, not about the image posting.

When you see that this OP has no reading skills and no understanding...
How can you trust anything he post?
I do not.

I have been suggesting people do this for months and months

But it could be done in a more polite way, and people say I am rude.

You cannot herd wild US 'christian' conservative old cats.
Kick one at the time away is all you can do, just as in real life.
Just remember that while an user can appear obnoxious in real life the person may not be that way. MAY being the keyword. Personalities on line usually demonstrate the worse part of an individual as folks feel like 'speaking' on a forum does not matter.
It does, it is a reflection on them and not a good one.

As to mys signature being rude. It is not. It is blunt, straight to the point and leaves very little to interpretation.

Now I am waiting for the flame that will follow these statements...

He means that can 'print' a picture on the cloth, or so I think. They print on everything else now so, why not?

Which features of the D800e did you mostly miss while using the D300?

Sorry, delayed answer...
What I miss?
Here is a sample from a screen capture of an image taken in May 2013

There might be those who could have some interest as to why you sent it away for repair in the first place.
It was sent because the camera produced a constant vignetting on the top corners and that regardless of the orientation when shooting.

B&H held this class called Salty Pixels maybe some of the hints and tips he gives may help you. He shoots for Yachting magazine among others. It was a good presentation. It's about an hour long, you can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFA47xbaM-Y&list=PLA2A7966A44E77011&index=56

Watched it loads of talk, very little if any information.

Hey man thanks for the reply I did use sharpening, but I believe my problem is more in the camera capture. I am using raw, I only save to J peg to post here. I have found that if I don't get it right in the initial exposure it ain't gonna happen, I cant change the real clarity of an image I can only mess with it, that seems to be an absolute!

For info, clarity is not related to sharpening but to contrast and luminescence. As such it does NOT change the pixel order!!!

This was shot on the upwind leg and they were only going about 40mph at this point. The down wind leg was 55+! NO NO NO I am not obsessed! But by goly I want this shot!

After further reading on the issue, it appears that tweaking the contrast in camera will help. Trial and error will be mandatory ...

I am not happy with the critical focus sharpness of these two. Both shot w/ Canon T2i and Sigma 70-200 f 2.8, tall at 200mm crew shot at 128mm. Both at ISO100 spot meter, sunlight white balance/f5.6, 1/400sec. Any thoughts? I am going back out tomorrow to try again and may get two chances if Oracle can win another one. Oh by the way I was using a B&W F-pro KSM POL-Circular Filter, with the haze and little fog would I be better off with my HOYA HMC UV? Thank you for your consideration.

PP answer, not shooting...
First off, thank you for the question. I had an answer for a RAW file then discovered it would not work on a JPG so I did some research.

On RAW files, when using Photoshop, there is a setting called clarity that is available only when opening a RAW file or so I thought.

To get this import menu with all the bells and whistles of RAW format, you only need to use File-Open as->RAW and click on the JPG. You can preview the result before you click 'ok'.
