For what its worth, I grew up with a British educational background and remember quite well as a child that "lense" was the common spelling used in scientific literature. Somewhere along the way a transition to "lens" occurred the general concensus, at the time, being it was the "American" way of spelling...much like "color vs colour" and " honor vs honour". It's language and it's dynamic and fascinating!

All magicmomentpics wanted to know was how much a lens was worth and here these "I'M CORRECT" twirps take off on some spelling bee making a major issue out of nothing. What harm did this person do spelling the word the way they wanted to? A very clear example of why the world is so screwed up with "critics" like these around.

I think $50 would be a good price for that lehndz too!!

having trouble transferring photos from picasa to costco for printing? any help appreciated

This is how I go from Picasa to Costco. After doing any editing in Picasa I put them in the tray, thumb tack them and then upload them to a folder on my desktop labeled Costco Prints, date. Then just take them from there to the Costco site.

Well you learn a new thing every day! I had been editing my pics, renaming the edits, saving them to a folder, then uploading to Costco for printing. Thanks to you, I tried "thumbtacking" them, then simply Exported them to a folder! Easy! I was making my this way too complicated! Thank you, thank you.

As fredpnm suggested, it's probably best to go to the Costco website and upload from there. I tried uploading from Picassa in the past and found it tedious to get exactly what I wanted. Costco was direct and efficient in my experience

Take several memory cards and possibly a means to backup any images taken. Ditto for camera batteries and a compatible battery charger. Polarizing filter & lens hood(s). Large plastic bag or equivalent to shield gear if necessary.
