This was my first attempt at the technique (using a tripod, long exposure, dark room and a flashlight).

My dad has been raving about this site, and sending me to it, for so long that I figured I'd just take the plunge and join. I picked up my first camera in 2001 (digital-Nikon) and was published 6 months later (Billings, Gazette). This landed me more publications in Sports Car Magazine. A few years later, I was published in OK Magazine. I have entered several county and state fairs, usually winning blue but once I did take 2nd in a category (kinda proud of that). I worked as a photographer for a few years, in Montana, Ohio and Florida, but now I just do it if and when I feel like it, for fun, with an occasional shoot for a friend or someone who seeks me out after somehow accidentally bumping into my website. I'm currently using my Canon 1D Mark II that I've had for a decade (omg, has it really been that long?!?!?). I am an avid motorcyclist, who rides year-'round (don't own a car or truck). Married for 10 years, this year, to my best friend and partner in life. We love to ride across the country, statewide and locally. I was born in Ohio and spent half my life there and half my life in Montana. I consider myself an Ohio girl (grew up in the Billings area, as did my children, and owned a business there, as well). We moved to Florida after my husband retired from 21 years of military service. We have the most beautiful German Shepherd in the world (not biased, or anything) and two Pomeranians.
Looking forward to "meeting" some wonderful, like-minded peeps from around the country and world.
