Common sense. There is a reason that good LEOs do not put people on their stomach. If two officers sat on your back so that you could not expand your lungs and then had another one hold your restrain your neck, you would not have autopsy findings of neck (choke) damage. But you have the best proof there is.... HE is dead. He said he could not breath and he did not breath. Then to make sure he was good and dead, even after a fellow LEO said he had no pulse ( dead), the neck man just says do not re-position ( he had him where he intended for him to be). Finally when ambulance crew arrived several minutes later, all released the dead man and rolled the dead body onto a stretcher. Why rolled.... simple... he was handcuffed the whole time... did not want him to interfere with the death plan.

"Crush" isn't needed....just mild compression. Ask any MMA fighter who has had to tap out due to a choke hold. He can breathe just fine but is starting to see tiny black dots and knows he's about to pass out. The artery suffers no damage...it was just pinched shut for a while. It is quite elastic.


I had an experience when I was about 19. I had hurt my neck and had been given one of those foam wrap around neck braces. So one evening I decide to go across the hall to a party, I slap on my brace and go to have a good time. Sometime later, ten, fifteen minutes, I start feeling weird, odd...decide I am going back across the hall, I get up, start seeing black dots, step towards the door...and then I am looking up at my friends. I had face planted. They had pulled the collar off and I came to. I'm really glad I did not make it back to my place to fall out on the floor by myself...I would have likely died left unattended. The collar was too tight and I didn't realize it.

My only point is that carotid asphyxiation does not have to traumatize the artery, and does not take that much pressure.

I like your line of thinking although I must take you back in time. The vision of "those times" you refer to were during the President John F. Kennedy era. He is reported to be one of the greatest president's of modern time. President Johnson followed and there was r**t and unrest under his watch as well.

Of course Obama had his Ferguson burning episode as also as well as the shootings of the many police in Dallas.

Exactly what is a President supposed to do? How does speaking eloquently or being part of high-society going to quell what happens on local levels?

Should all local police be replaced with Federal Police much like all airports are staffed with TSA? To do that all laws would need to become Federal Laws and that interferes with State's Rights.

President's Trump's comments were AFTER the r**ts took place....not before. I agree that they were crass although it was exactly what many were thinking on how the terrorist thugs and l**ters should have been treated. What I think should have been done would be far worse and it is no different than the attack of the World Trade Center or the Boston Marathon Bombing. Innocent people are harmed and private property destroyed.

So...should the Federal Government get involved in every police related death? If so, then the Federal Government should also be involved in every police officer k**led in the line of duty as well for the crime of taking a life is no different whatsoever.

It is the LOCAL LAWS and the directions of the Community Politicians that put the pressure on their police force to enforce those laws. There are countless interactions with the police that write tickets that turn into something far more intense. Stopping someone who doesn't use their blinker for example and then the aroma of marijuana oozes from the car. A gun is seen sticking between the seats. Etc., etc. and then the s**t hits the fan.

Should the police be instructed to ignore infractions like no licence plate, expired tags, careless driving, intoxicated pedestrians, calls for domestic disturbance? I don't know, you tell me.

If it's not a Federal violation then the Federal Government has no jurisdiction in the establishment and enforcement of a Local or State Law.

Now...I've been in countries where the Military takes part in the law enforcement and THAT is something I'm sure we would not want here.

I don't have h**e trump glasses...I make a lot of fun of his communications as he is quite childish. But I have defended him on here more than a few times for policies and actions.


We need a p**********l President right now. Instead, we have a boss (small b.) Trump has had an opportunity to rise, to be p**********l, to be a national leader in a time of crisis.

Why would any president invoke words that evoke images of black men in the 50s and 60s with dogs on top of them that the police loosed...any time, but especially at this time? Those images move to water cannons, batons, etc. Yes, our president has evoked those images in people with his foolish choice in words...THUGS, shooting, viscous dogs...

At a time of national crisis, trump has chosen to dramatically fail as a national leader.

I don't need to stir anyone up. Trump is doing fine.


Was a time of racial strife a smart time to call protesters THUGS, a smart time to say anything about shooting anyone, and then talk about turning viscous dogs loose on protesters?

I don't care that there are dogs protecting the White House...why should the President be talking about loosing viscous dogs...kinda brings up memories of black and white footage of the cops loosing dogs on b****s in Alabama!

I don't care what he really meant...just the imagery of those statements is so foolish... it just beggars belief.

We don't have a national leader...just a boss. This has been a time when we could use a p**********l President.
