Great looking photos on automotive beginning of the 20th Century. The 1904 Cadillac. They are the best built GM automobile to this day. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mas24, The car is in surprisingly good condition for being 114 years young, I should be so lucky! Notice the original "Non-skid" tread markings on the tires. John
We saw this 1903 Cadillac in a museum at Fort Buford State Historical Site, ND last spring. It's in surprisingly good, but unrestored condition--been siting a looong time. Note the mirror underneath for the mechanic's view--"remember get out an get under"? The light was poor, and me with no flash on the 5d3, oh well we do the best we can. These out of the way museums can lead to some real prize opportunities.
This was just a shoot-from-the-hip thing, and the camera kinda did it's own thing-gotta admit luck was with me. My nephew has a bulldog and he has the picture in his collection-lovable mutt!!. Thanks to all for the comments. John
Here's an overall thank you to all of your nice comments on this post. Posting pics is generally a lot more fulfilling than just general posts. Rarely is there a snarky post or comment involved--I like that!! John
WOW... great action shot and catch!! I hope the dad (?) didn't get too startled!!
Not, I think that is a regular occurrence!! He just laid there calmly chewing his cud for a while then he and the others left as well, looking for feed down below. We had a great half hour interlude with these and several other herds down at the lower level. We actually followed this bunch as they traveled, and blocked the highway in front of our car.
