SOLD

Price dropped from 1299 to 1150.
Lens is in excellent condition. The hood has an insignificant scuff, the body of the lens is very clean and the lens is pristine. Just out of curiosity I looked inside the lens with a flashlight and saw barely if any dust. I am the only owner and purchased it new about 18 months ago. It is relatively light weight and well balanced. I used it on the X-T3 and X-T4 and am very happy with its performance and IQ. I am selling it to downsize from 2 camera systems to one for birding. Sale includes original box and instruction paperwork, front and back caps, good quality filter and hood.
Buyer to pay shipping. Offers cheerfully accepted.

I bought the kit Canon R6 with the RF 24-105 f4-7.1 and now I'm looking to upgrade to the f4 version. If you have one for sale please send me a PM.

FYI- They have been hard to find new however if you can't find a used one Canon now has them in stock at their online store. Everywhere I tried it was backordered.

SOLD

PRICE CHANGE- 1150.00 See updated posting.

Above lens for sale in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally. The hood has one light, small scuff. I bought the lens new and have had it for about 18 months. I used it initially on my X-T3 and now the X-T4. I bought it when I was between long lenses (and cameras) and then since have designated the Canon RF 100-500 mm lens as my primary birding lens. Figuring I didn't need two long lenses on two different systems it is now for sale. I am attaching a couple of images taken with this lens. The lens weighs 3 pounds and is well balanced. I use it handheld with a pistol grip. It comes with original box, hood, front and back caps, protective filter, care and use instructions.
1150.00. You pay shipping and fees.

He may be within 100.00 of a new one, but he also is throwing in around 200.00 worth of extras. Someone may find a 300.00 savings worth it. Let the market set the price, someone will find value in his offer or not.

Excellent answer! More helpful than all the "helpful" (not) replies about where one can be found cheaper!

Has anyone had success with purchasing a puppy online? I’ve read some warnings, and am trying to get the breeder to provide more information for a Western Union payment. They first wanted to use Zelle, but my bank doesn’t have that option. Apple Pay was another option, but I can’t get it to work. “Recipient Cannot receive at this time” message returned. Suggested PayPal, but they didn’t have a PP account. Will not accept Credit Cards. They would accept prepaid gift cards from CVS or Walgreens. Choosing not to do that per Scam warning about using PP cards.

Warning signs are flashing, yet I really want that pup. Any thoughts on what I can do to verify the legitimacy of this breeder?

You have had lots of answers- some helpful and some definitely not. I purchased my two Brittanys via online breeders and picked them up in person. It is not unusual to do that. Many buyers drive across several states to pick up a pup. I made inquires to other kennels too. All I checked into required an application, all had pictures online of the litter and all required a deposit even before the pups were ready to go to their new home. I sent deposits by check and paid the balance by check at pick up.
All did personality tests of the pups and placed them with buyers for the best possible fit. All had information about the lineage with pictures of the parents, grandparents. All had health certificates of the parents and the pups had received their first shots. Reputable breeders are very picky where their puppies go. For some breeds you may have to get on a wait list for upcoming litters. Now if this sounds like the breeder you are dealing with then probably no worries.

I hope this is helpful and answers some questions.

Would it be reasonable for you to go in person and pick up the pup taking cash, check? It's not unusual for people wanting a specific breed to drive short and long distances to pick it up. I would send a deposit but not pay in full for the pup without being prepared to pick it up at the same time. You could send a deposit via Walmart's money gram. Anyone you designate can pick up the money gram at their nearest Walmart minutes after it is sent .

I'll send the invoice after I calculate the postage with insurance and add it to the total. The PayPal fees will be charged to me. I'll get it out tomorrow and get the tracking number to you. Thanks so much.
The lens performs well with the R6 so you certainly won't be disappointed with the R5 with all those extra MP to crop! I just love my R6- best splurge I've ever made in camera equipment.

I completely agree with her!! It's still available. How do you want to make payment? If PayPal I can send you an invoice. What city and state do you live in so I can calculate postage with insurance?

Unbelievable high price for the RF extenders.

All extenders have an unjustified high price in my opinion. But in this case the RF extender works with several lenses including the 800mm, 600, and 100-500 and now the new RF 100-400 mm lens which has not yet been released. That softens the blow just a little. I am keeping my RF 1.4 extender.

Do you know if this lens works with Canon’s 2x?

I know it does with the RF 2x extender and maybe with the EF 2x extender and adapter but I couldn't be sure about that.

I bought this lens waiting for the Canon RF 100-500 mm lens (which came in soon after I bought this) but find I don't use it much. In excellent condition with hood, front and back caps, box and paperwork. Still has about 2 months of warranty left. It weighs in at 2.77 pounds, is quite long extended in shoot position, locks in at shorter profile for carrying, and performs very well. It is compatible with the Canon RF extenders. The lens is stabilized. Images are sharp and clear. I will be attaching images of the lens and images from the lens shortly. I will include the filter (95 mm) as I have no need of one this size. You pay shipping and I pay PayPal fees. Asking 750.00. Checks, PayPal, Zelle all ok. No money orders or cashier checks.
ADD ON : this is not the Canon brand hood- it was not available at the time I purchased the lens. The hood that I bought is a JJC LH-101- it fits and functions like it was made for the lens so I saw no reason to purchase the Canon brand after the fact.
Also- the filter is a B+W haze filter. I don't always use filters but this lens has a big chunk of glass that I wanted to protect.

I ordered a new recliner and the expected delivery time is 9 months! It's crazy out there. Check around and see if you can find your equipment at another vendor. I have had better luck getting an item quicker from Canon online than BH. Try Samys too as well as other online or in store camera shops. Then buy and cancel your backorder. There is a camera store in Dallas Oregon that surprisingly has things in stock when no one else does. You could give them a call- Focal Point. They will ship. A little legwork is better than waiting for months. Good luck.
