I got my first pair of Vice Grips when I was about 13, and I still use them. In about 1970, I was putting new shocks on the rear of my car, and I used the Vice Grips to hold something. For several months after that, I wasn't able to find the Vice Grips. One day, I had to do some work under that car, and there were the Vice Grips, still attached to the shock absorber.

Project Farm tested vice grip-type pliers yesterday. You might know that Irwin now owns the Vice Grip brand. Among the test pliers was an original vintage pair that the guy bought online for $95. In all tests but one (I think), the old Vice Grips performed best. If you have old hand tools, keep them!

In the past two weeks I have received ten emails supposedly from Norton titled "Security Alert" telling me my computer is in danger and my subscription needs to be renewed.

During the same time I have received nine emails from McAfee that is my final notice and that my account needs to be renewed.

However, I don't use either service, never have used McAfee and haven't used Norton in the past ten years.

Not only do the "From" addresses look suspicious, the "To" addresses are not either my name or email address, but a long series of letters and numbers.

The two I opened to check the above offered really "good deals" and all I had to do is "click" on the "links". Yeh, right!!!

Just thought I would mention a different, and continuing approach. Best be careful.
