Hi Buddag17 ,

As far as I searched for HDR in camera, it is only possible in Jpg mode. I use Nikon and that seems to be the only way. But this is only for in camera HDR.
what you can use is bracketing if you have. That allows you to shoot in RAW, then take them in an app like Photomatix. Or simply take three shots from lets say EV-2 to 0 and +2 .
Then same thing, export the raw files straight into Photomatix or other HDR software. Pure Shot I do not know.

Often I take my shots , 3 or more, import them into LR to brush them up a little, and then export to Photomatix. Thats how I do it when I do want to do some HDR.

Hope it helps.

So.......
Color , yeah .... colors... and cant deny it , I am on the buss for a hell of a ride this year.

Bunked up with some dj's in a cabin for the weekend, and cant describe the magnitude of psychedelics floating around. And as a rare time , I let it go with the flow.

Even so , damn I'm having fun in the low lights
Thou I must apologize I cannot upload the original sizes as I am working on low bandwidth. So all these are cropped and resized in order to avoid much uploading.

All shots I shot with my Nikon D750 + 50mm 1.4 Art Lens. Just some minor tweaks in LR but that's how the pictures are captured. Nothing altered

What grate fun for this session :D
Happy New Year my friends..
and Rock on into 2017

Best regards Catalin

Hi Jerry ,
It's not renamed, it's just an open-source browser based on Chrome.
this may help understand the difference

it looks to me like that is a small flare. If you follow the line from the first green plum to the second plum in the middle, you can notice several visible spots.
Just for the checking ? Did u had a filter on the lens? I read many times about taking out the filter when doing night photography, and a couple of weeks ago I had this issues. As long as the light beams where on my sides I would have small flares. As soon as I took out the filter, there were isolated.
Just a thought from my side.

Cheers

Love the expression on the face of #9, especially in photo 3..

Check out the sequence of that photo. Too bad I did not caught this in focus as well. My boy, in white, looks a bit "owned", and his friend is like "HA HA HA" :D

Well maybe someday these cute boys will be some big names in Ice Hockey
But for now they are just darn cute to watch them.

Been with my youngest boy and his friend at the training and thought I would test my Sigma 50mm 1.4 ART lens again.
Here are a couple I was happy with.

No flash used, and all picture pp in LR. (from top down : WB , exposure, shadows, White and Black adjustments, applied sharpening with mask, noise reduction about 20).
White balance within an Ice Hockey arena seems to be challenging. The meter is easy fooled by slightest light changes around a subject, cause of color reflections from the Ice. I noticed this with pictures taken just a second apart and same subject. One get be more reddish, one may be correct and one may be colder.

Enjoy those cute guys on the ice. I certainly do

PS: Don't be fooled by the grate stance they seem to have on the skates. They can barely hold themselves on their skates.

Thank you very much for all responses.
I've taken in consideration all likes and opinions and decided to go with the first one. Thou there are a couple of suggestions I would like to try on the b&w , but I am too slow on those Photoshop edits so they will remain as projects when I have more time.

Thank you very much everybody

Well , it seems most likes here also go in the direction for the first one.

I'm starting to see the light :)
Thank you very much so far. As the comments and opinions arrived I now lean more onto the first one in color.
In other words, I think there is something wrong with me, I liked "Fester" to begin with. :D , but it's important for me the parents like it and that's the most difficult part for me all the time. What I like is not necessary liked by others.
