Great shots, thanks! Where in Southern Indiana were they taken? I lived in both Nashville and Bloomington.
Best regards,
Harald
I live in Bloomington. The photos were taken on last Sat and Sunday. From Bloomington, I drove via 446 south to the T junction of SR50 and turn left onto SR50 and continue to drive when you see the sign of SR235 to Medora. You can continue on SR50 to the locations described below or you can turn right onto SR235. The sandhill cranes were in the water enclosed area in both east and west of S. County Rd 500W about 1 mile from SR 50 but many more on the east side during night. There were also on the west of S. County Rd 400W just off SR 50. After Sun rises, the sandhill cranes left for other cropped corn fields. These areas include, but not limited to, the areas such as both east and west sides of N. County Rd 500W, both sides of SR50 between SR235 and SR 135, both sides of W. Base Rd, both sides of W. County Rd 100S (access from SR 235), etc.
A whooping crane was at small water body area behind a garden supply shop on the east side SR235 just before reaching Medora town. I saw the crane on both days in the same location.
Thanks!
These are only tiny portion of the Sandhill crane photos taken in last two days around Brownstown, southern Indiana. Thanks in advance for viewing and comments if any!
Yes, it is still available.
Thanks!
The camera is still available. I have not tried other sources to sell yet. Thanks!

On my way into and out of Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, I have learned to scan the roadside. The first two shots are extreme crops that were so dark that I had to lighten them just to identify the bird. I left those shots dim to convey how early it was.
The next two shots were on the opposite side of the road. I spotted the eagle on my way home. I waited ten minutes and the eagle just continued to survey its surroundings. In the first shot you can see how high wind had become.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
