I like your composition and can find nothing to fault on the processing - - Good Job !
Thanks, Granbob. When I first got Photoshop several years ago I ruined a lot of images and didn't have the foresight to not overwrite the originals. I've learned to restrain myself, somewhat.
Nice shots, bet you enjoyed the trip, my wife doesn't get it, I get almost as much enjoyment at looking at photos of our trips as the trips themselves.
Yes, I love to look back at the pictures. We took our granddaughter who had just graduated with us. We've got one grandchild that will remember us regardless if the others do.
I spent some time browsing my Pictures folder and came across some Grand Canyon pics made last year. It was good to refresh my memory (it needs that a lot now-a-days.) Here are some from that group. I expect someone will say the composition wasn't good and someone will say they were over processed. That's OK. They're my memories and they serve the purpose.
In #1 I think the tree limbs framing it are OK but something keeps pulling my eyes to the foreground and away from the mountain and lake. I would crop the bottom edge and leave just a thin enough strip of land to define the lake. Maybe then my eyes would stay more on the opposite side of the lake and the mountain.
I always enjoy my visits to The Old Mill, thought I'd share a few. These were all taken with the D850 and Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 Art lens. Have A Blessed Day !!!
These are really nice pictures. I didn't know The Old Mill had Iris' planted there. I'll have to make a visit. Nice to see an Arkansan on UHH. Keep the pictures coming.
btw, you can ignore a lot of the bells and whistles on the camera (I had a T3i for four years) and do just fine 'til you're more experienced with exposure (ISO, shutter speed, aperture).
