I used to keep my photos in an online photo site, NO MORE. They went out of business without notice. Thankfully, I had all my photos backed up on discs and jump drives (a LONG time ago) Of course, I do not want my photos stored on my computer (in folders or not), I bought a 1TB external hard drive to put them on. It was on sale for $69.99 at Walmart. I put thousands and thousands of photos on it and it still has about 90% free space.
I did all that a few years ago and just in time, because CDs and jump drives can become contaminated and you may lose them all. The best part about a portable EHD is that you can take it anywhere and attach to any computer to see the photos and bore your friends to pieces. NO NO, none of the phots here would bore anyone. I meant MINE!!!!
Oh, and I do put mine in folder on the EHD.

Oh, I forgot about Robert Duvall. He is a hoot! I can't remember the name of the movie I loved so much with him, about jumping horses, with Julia Roberts....oh well. It was fun!

What would scare me would be the thought of having a dizzy spell about that time.

all so pretty. savanna has some interesting eyes. love those big tall ears too. Bama is a beautiful Corgi. and Lucy looks so sweet and innocent.

Thanks XTENA! Bama looks like a dog with feet but no legs when she walks. The grass tickles her tummy.
Lucy is hyper and never runs down!

We have 2 dogs (RIP Savannah), 3 birdsand 5 horses. One of our favorite dogs was Savannah. She was so loving and so appreciative of the fact that we adopted her after she had been beaten, kicked and so badly abused. She learned to trust again and thought Bama was her mama!

Oh Gee! I'm not afraid of heights either, BUT, I am afraid that the "rock" would break and fall. Don't get me wrong. FALLING IS FUN. It's the landing that kills ya!

STEVE! I looked! Beautiful! We went to a horse show in Ashville one year and stayed in Waynesville, went to Maggie Valley aand stayed at the Gem Motel just above Lake Junaluska. We simply didn't want to come home. On TV they used to say "You may leave North Carolina, but North Carolina will never leave YOU!" Oh my, it's true!!!!

Right now I am staying, with one of my daughters in Canton. That's about 8 miles from Junaluska, I'm going to try to get out there, and do a photo documentary of that area; but it will have to wait on Spring now.

I have left North Carolina several times in my lifetime, but I have never managed to stay away long, like an old dog; I always came home.

My dad was from Waynesville, so I'm closer to home now than when I am in Asheville. The Waynesville, Maggie Valley area, is some of the prettiest in the mountains. If you get back this way, try to get over to Catalooche Valley. Its about 18 miles north of Waynesville, off of NC-276N. This place will blow your mind, and BE SURE to bring your camera.

Do you know how to spell ENVY? I loved Waynesville and the lake was breathtaking early in the morning with the fog AND the clouds hovering over the water. I have NO idea where my camera was while we were there. WHAT was I thinking! Guess we'll have to wait til spring to see those beauties!!!

Woodcarving is something that keeps me sane. I have quite a few of these. Cowboys and Indians are my favorite. Have some of other figures too.

Woodcarving is a beautiful art. MANY years ago, I did a few, a horse, a Bass, a Mandarin Duck and knew I had to give up something. I gave up wedding photography, horse show photography, wood carving, singing, poetry and housekeeping. I kept Painting, Gourmet cooking, sewing, playing the organ and AMATURE photography. I think the cooking goes next! Hahahaha!

One of my past times is art Quilts. some large some small, all from my photos or original design. The poppy one is just finished, or maybe not, maybe just a few more beads on it. There is another poppy in the works. The blue with the quirky flowers is starting with a certain color pallette and going anywhere. The one I call flying heron is taken from one of my photographs.

Birdie, these are magnificent! I have a cousin in Alaska who quilt and do some mighty fancy ones and they have made me wish I could, but I do so many different things, there's no room for any more! You do a fabulous job! If you have more, please show us.
