He may be a pesky thing but your first image of him is fantastic. I love the details in his fur and you have to admit he is mighty good looking little devil!!!

The first one is a handsome devil. Thanks for looking and comments.

Wow Joer, this rascal jumped on the mother lode. Good shots of an unwelcome visitor to the feeding station.

Thanks jwt.

When they get too clever I put out the "Have a Heart" live trap and in no time they are caught. Then its off to the forest preserve.

I think I must be responsible for most of the squirrels and chipmunks in our local preserve.

I took sixty five photos and aranged them in PS CC
Nikon d800e
Nikon 300mm pf
Gitzo tripod
Manual exposure
Exposure delay mode 3 sec.
Downloaded a spiral from Google images and place each file (after crop) on the spiral with the opacity at 50%. Use the eraser (the size of the moon) on each layer to remove any overlap of the black sky. (i.e. select layer 5 and put the eraser over the moon in layer 4 to erase the overlap) Left the black sky uncropped in layer one to complete the background.
I took sixty five photos and aranged them in PS CC... (show quote)

 Don't think I'd have the patience to work with so many files.

Thanks for the link Gene. I was wondering when you would surface.

Based on the MTF curves the 200-500 looks very good.

Joe: Great compositions and color. Chickadees are one of my favorite birds to photograph along with male and female cardinals. Good work!

Hello. I grow dahlias and during some of our shows we also have photography contests for the growers as part of the show. I shoot with the lens that came with my Canon Rebel but would really like to get a macro lens. Need suggestions please. Would like to stick with Canon but am open to suggestions. Here are a few of my shots with the regular lens

Look at the Tokina 100 macro 2.8. A very good autofocus lens for not much money.
