Every year my friend and I travel to Mystic Seaport for their annual Wooden Boat Show. There so much to see and do there it is almost overwhelming. I love to shoot Boats, Seascapes and there is so much there to capture. Here are a couple of examples. The color shot got me a cover of a small craft magazine that a friend publishes... Hope you enjoy them as much as I got shooting them.

Yes I understand. I took photos of John Belushi's grave site in Marthas Vinyard and it was loaded with beer cans, old joints and other various memo's... Interesting was Jim Morrison from France? HE must have been...

I have been using Lightroom since the very first version. each year when they came out with a new version I cost me a little over 100 dollars. Now with CC I have latest version of both Photoshop and Lightroom for 10 buck a month so for around 120 dollars a year I am actually saving money and have updates about every month. The program live on my computer and I am very happy with it.

Yes in Photoshop, You go to file and in the drop down menu you select Automate another dropdown box will appear select Photomerge and follow instructions. Works very good... Do it all the time for panoramas.

Topaz should be very easy to reload. Just go to their web site and download all your plugins. They will ask you if you want to add them to your elements say yes and you are done. The next time you open the topaz plugin you will need to reenter your Ser #. Topaz keep all your ser # in you r account and if you lost them they are still there just go to your account on their website and enter your email address and password you created and walaa there are all your ser#...good luck and have fun with your new machine, I mean computer :-)

I use an Epsom XP820. I think it is the same family of printers you are working with. I can feed paper from the bottom tray or I can feed paper from the rear. I choose to use the rear as it works much better that the bottom tray. It doesn't bend the paper as much and you get a clean print. All you need to do is to choose rear in your options when you go to print. Of course you need to have loaded the Epsom software into your computer in order to do this. If you do not have the software you can download it free from the Epsom web site.

I agree with Stan, I think a blush on the lips and the eyes would be great. However the hat is too much, it really is a distraction. But as others have said you are the artist and you make the decision.

Nice photographs the second one has nice lighting.
My first ride was a 1959 Triumph 650 single carb.
Then bought a Harley sportster and sold it before it
broke my knees and bought a brand new 1974 Norton 750 Commando!
Loved that bike, was fast and loved curvy roads...Wish I still had it!

Thanks for the nice photos and the memories...

I love this sort of conversion that allows us to take a somewhat boring shot and turn it into a very interesting photograph. Nice work, thank you for sharing!

I think you have answered your own question. I stopped using Flicker a few years ago and basically rely on the cloud for back up, such as google, dropbox and Adobe... Hope this is helpful to you.

Love Jamaica. Took several trips there. While staying in Montego Bay my wife and I hired a local guy to give us a look at what the tourist do not normally see. We had a rental car and this fellow took us to Dunn River Falls but then after that we ventured up into the hills and we saw the real beauty of the island. I took some photos of school children that probably have never seen white people. This photo has won me several awards.

Be careful with talking photos in the public market in Montego Bay. I was shooting a lady who was carrying a load of bananas on her head and she came over to me and demanded $$ as she told me I was going to make a lot of money with those photos. She obviously does not understand vacation photos vs commercial photos. But never the less just be careful.

A trip to Negril is almost mandatory, The sand there is almost like sugar. The people are friendly and the coast line is awesome. Rent a boat with a local and they will take you around to the caves the pirates use back in the day. Ricks Café is a local bar and grill that host the cliff divers and the best sunset on the island.

Take a lot of photos and share with us on the return...

Get yourself a "Puffer" Someone gave one to me. While I do not use the camera flash very often There have been a few times I did and it left a huge black spot at the bottom center because of the lens. Plus as you said very harsh. This little device works pretty good no terrible shadows, no big black spot and not harsh. The best part its very inexpensive around 20 to 30 dollars (I'm told). If you don't know what it is let me know I'll take a photo of it for you.
Like I said it was a gift.
