Anyone had experience comparing Intel vs AMD processors in laptops. AMD seem a lot less expensive. For lr post processing and general use are they as good?

You get what you pay for. I have 5 computers, one of which is an older laptop (recently retired) that had an AMD processor in it. That laptop was the worst computer I have ever had. Based on my experience with that laptop, I will NEVER buy another computer with an AMD processor in it. I'm sure many have computers with that chip that loves them. I will never own another one.

PS..." The Shadow" was my favorite radio drama back in the 50s!

Thank you for that.

Is there a firmware or updater for this lens? If not, Do I miss anything performance wise?
I'll be grateful to now. Thank you in advance for your time.

If I were you I would make a quick call to Tamron and ask them. Surely they could tell you if there is a software update available for your lens.

This is odd. Yesterday and today, I tried to send an email to a friend via Gmail . The address (AOL) showed up all red because it was "invalid." A little while later, it worked. Any ideas?

I think you are right....an invalid email address. I've seen that happen occasionally when using Mozilla Thunderbird. When I type in an email address it sometime self-completes if it is in my Address Book. If it's not in my Address Book it will show up red as possibly inaccurate. I think your red email address is calling your attention to a possibly inaccurate email address.

I've been using Wasabi batteries in my Lumix ZS40 and ZS50 for years with no problems. I notice no difference between those and the Panasonic batteries that came with the cameras.

Yes, I like that, but I don't like it getting of cookies. That just makes it more difficult signing back onto web sites.

Under the "Windows" tab you have the option of keeping or removing cookies. If you want to delete cookies, put a check mark in the box that says "cookies". If you want to keep the cookies, don't put a check mark in the box for that option.

I've used CCleaner for years and it's a much better program than Disk Cleanup. I won't miss Disk Cleanup at all.

It sounds like you might have the two-second timer enabled. When you press the shutter button the mirror moves up. Then two seconds later the camera takes the picture. Check to see if that may be the problem.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) setting makes your camera take 2 or more exposures and combining them for best exposure. Turn that setting OFF and you should only get a single click. I think HDR is found in the Effects Mode (set with Control Wheel on top of camera). There also may be a setting for HDR in the camera's menu.
I don't have access to my camera right now so I'm trying to remember all of this.

You can turn Active D-lighting OFF in the Shooting Menu in the camera .

I would recommend an excellent book on the Nikon D3300 by David Busch . Much better than the manual that comes with the camera.

I have the same camera and lens and I don't have that problem. No double clicks. Do you have D-lighting or DRO or HDR turned on? Try turning them off and see if the extra click goes away. That should narrow it down.

FOTOR is a very basic editing program and is easy to use. Clicking on "Automatic Fix" is about as simple as you can get. Then you can either accept or reject the changes and go to more sophisticated editing if you desire . And it is free so it costs you nothing to try it.

I completely agree and would add that if you ever use JPG files from the camera, you should notice a marked improvement with the D7200's sensor/processor over the D3200.

As was pointed out earlier in this thread, the D7200's and the D3200 both use the same sensor.
