Here is a shot I took in low light with the 70-200 f4 in low light -ISO 3200

I have the the 70-200 f4 and like it. It is ultra sharp and very light. A great travel lens.
Here is what Ken Rockwell thought of it.

Both of the shots were pretty close, 30-50 feet. The top shot of the Great Blue Heron was cropped. This Alligator shot was about 500 feet and it is slightly cropped. The D7200 is a crop sensor, so this lens was equal to 900mm. These three shots were taken at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Florida. I live pretty close to there and shoot there often
One more thought, I'd also consider the D610. It has the same controls as the D750 (2 user modes that come in very handy, U1 and U2)
I've had many problems with my D750. It has been back to Nikon for 2 recalls. It also has mirror slap issues that result in vertical blur at shutter speed from 1/60th and lower. Nikon says that the camera is to spec after sending it back to Nikon 3 times and paying for repair. I also have a D7200 that has no issue under the same condition. I would go with the D810 or some other brand if I wasn't invested in Nikon glass.
Jim Bob,
The D750 has had shutter issues that had a recall.
I spoke to Nikon today and they are going to run it through the paces again. They have been very understanding and want to do the right thing.
I meant to say my D7200 has no problems. It works great
I haven't noticed that problem with my D750. My D750 is still at Nikon for repairs concerning the slow shutter speeds 1/25, 1/30 and 1/40 mirror slap-shake. It came back once and I sent it back again. The images are blurred vertically at low speeds unless you use mirror lock-up or shutter delay mode. Nikon claims that the camera checks out ok and is to spec.. I'll keep sending it back until it is repaired to my satisfaction. The camera has also been back twice before for recall repairs. They had a recall for Shutter shadowing issues. Did you send the camera back for that recall? I also have a D7200 with problems.
The filter size is 95mm, the same as the previous one. I use the same filter that I used on the older version.
I also found an interesting video on youtube about the lens.
