They busted the gate open--they had to break and enter on private property to even get on the sidewalk they were on. I'm very familiar with that exact area as my daughter lives right around the corner. The wife and I walk all around there when we are visiting. Not only those gates they went through, but in fact, ALL of the gates for the private streets off of Kingshighway are keylocked, and they are hardly ever used. All of the residents enter and exit from the other ends of those streets as Kings is 6 lanes and almost always heavy with traffic.

I also get a laugh out of the claim that the "peaceful protesters" were just passing by on their way to the mayor's house--you can't even get to the mayor's house from that street, her part of Lake doesn't connect to that street. All they had to do is go up one more street, which is a public street, and that would get them to where the mayor lives.

Right now your country is very divided along political lines, and probably more than ever in the past (yep, another Trump first).

I appreciate your exposure to America and its people, and I give you the benefit of the doubt when it comes to "dumping on America" because I know a lot of that is just a response to Hoggers dumping on you.

I want to correct that one statement above, however. This is not even close to being the most divided time America has seen. Back in the 1960's we had r**ts, bombings and murders that far surpassed the recent turmoil. And the unrest back then was caused by an entire generation of Hippies, drug users, terrorists and such, that pretty much ushered in a new world of values and changed the the social structure of the country. The unrest today is caused by a tiny, but virulent group of thugs that the vast majority don't support.

Having said that, none of it is even in the ballpark with 1860 when the country went to war with itself to end S***ery. We lost 600,000 out of 31 Million people, or 2% of our population. The same percentage today would amount to 6.6 Million deaths. Those people back then wouldn't have given a rat's ass over the division we have today.

Do you honestly think that in today's world the citizens will ever take up arms against an overpowering government? Really? Back in the day when the "enemy" may have been storming the wooden stake walls of the fort the citizens may have fired back with their muskets; but them there days is long gone, my armed and trigger-happy friend. Get real!!!

You should try telling that to the people of Hong Kong, who are being taken over by Red China right now. They would not agree with your statement that "them there days is long gone." The same has been true in Syria for the last decade, and in Iraq 16 years ago. True in Apartheid Africa only two decades ago, and all across the C*******t World three decades ago. I'm not even going to mention South and Central America, or Rwanda.

Similarly as I said to Dennis, THIS post of yours comes close to showing your ignorance of life in Canada.

Let me help you out with 'The Google'... type "Canadian Bill of Rights." Let me know when you have found it, read it, understood it, and can show me how my life in Canada is a life of deprivation compared to living in the US.

Well, for one, you are not allowed to criticize Islam or quote Bible verses in public. People get arrested for that in Canada. You also cannot tell impolite jokes. A comedian was fined $42,000.00 by the Canadian government for telling an insensitive joke.

Yes, I did. And that has nothing to do with freedom in a general sense, which is what LWW was calling me out on. Freedom in the 2nd amendment is very specifically ascribed to weapons. Would you support a statement/amendment that gives you the freedom/right to k**l your female family members if they were raped? Some religions do have that "freedom."

K*****g your child while still in the womb, (and now even after he is born alive) is considered a sacred freedom for people on the left, if not the most important freedom they have. It's not much different than the Muslim practice you just referenced.

You said it would be over and the total would be under 500. Now you are trying to change it to there would be less than 500 by the end of May. We all make mistakes all the time but I feel yours was particularly reckless and you have shown yourself to be unrepentant. Without the "shelter in place" orders we might have hit the 1.6 million, and now that they have mostly been rescinded, we may still. As far as making you look smart, I'll look better and you'll feel better, if I don't comment. If this forum is the only place you have posted your naïve predictions and proclamations you may have done little or no harm, but this will be serendipity, not responsibility on your part.

To correct your history, in the beginning of March I said that the U.S. would not reach more than 500 deaths by the end of the Flu Season. The actual Flu Season does not have an official start time nor end time, but I picked the last day of March, that being more or less the end of Spring.

I even had a bet going with John Frim of Canada and we were both making projections based specifically on the date March 31st. If you don't believe this I can dredge up the original post and you can see for yourself.

Your constant assertion that I have caused great harm to our country with my prediction is laughable. I never knew I had such awesome power! I should be flattered that you think I am such an influential person. Maybe I should run for office!

Now you've got some explaining to do. Your projection of 1.6 million deaths is still a long way off. The entire World has not reached even 1/3 of that yet. Don't give me that "shelter in place" BS preventing over a million deaths. This is the most common excuse by people who want to still believe that the original projections are still right. We've stopped sheltering in place nearly two months ago and the death rate has just continued to fall every week without any interruption, no spike, no second wave. Plenty of countries around the world did not shut down nor shelter in place and nearly every single one of them had very little trouble from this v***s.

That quite simply is not my experience. Jigaboo and coon are 100% derogatory. Redneck is at worst sometimes derogatory.

Certainly not "clearly" derogatory.

Like I said before, the term "Redneck" has only become socially acceptable because the people with that label refuse to be offended, but it is most certainly a derogatory term. You yourself added it to the post's title with the deliberate intent of mocking the couple, no?

"Jigaboo and Coon are 100% derogatory." That is just as untrue as thinking "Redneck" is only at worst sometimes derogatory. I used to have a Black girlfriend. She was 22 years old at the time. She once asked me "What are some of the bad terms White people use for B****s?" I told her "Jigaboo" and "Jungle Bunny." She began laughing hysterically. She had never heard those terms before. After she stopped laughing she said "Those sound like endearments. How could anybody be offended by that?"

Like I said earlier, it depends on how much the "victim" is willing to take it as offensive. All those terms, redneck, jigaboo, jungle bunny, and coon, were originally meant as disparagements toward other people. They may or may not be used quite in that way by everybody today, but pretty much everybody knows they are not meant to hold another in high esteem. The meanings have not changed, just the degree of acceptance.

There is no successful derogatory term for "White Person." Hispanics may call us "Gringos" and "Yankees." B****s call us "Whitey," White Trash, and "C*****r." But you will hardly be able to find a White person who gets upset about that because White people blunt the supposed insults by not caring.

I can also tell you from my experience that Black people are not nearly as offended by the "N" word as White people are. White people have internalized the horror of that word like no other word in history. When I was growing up, the "F" word was the worst thing anybody could say. Nowadays, prominent people in business, entertainment, and politics use it all the time, in front of women and children no less.

If you consider redneck a slur sir, then I must demand satisfation!

And redneck ain't a race...

The only socially acceptable ethnic condemnation in America is reserved for White Southerners. There is almost no public disapproval against people using terms like "Hillbilly," "Hayseed," "Good Ole Boy," Yokel," "Bumpkin" and such. It is almost never considered intolerant, even by people who worship "Tolerance" as the highest social value. The Southerners are considered to be deserving of such terms, and few people ever think that it might offend them, though it does some. My relatives all come from the Deep South.

"Redneck" is clearly a derogatory term for White Southerners, just like "Jigaboo" and "Coon" is for American B****s. The only difference, and the reason it has become acceptable to call them that, is that most White Southerners refuse to be offended by the term, even when used offensively. In fact they are often proud of it because they are usually proud of their heritage, and they wear it like a badge of honor. Some B****s use the "N" word for themselves or others for similar reasons.

I'm not condemning you for using the term, because it seems par for the course, but I just wanted to point out how uneven rules are applied to ethnic slurs.

I'm very familiar with that area of the City of St. Louis for we had done many projects for those that live there. One of the fellows that lives a the other end of the street is a modern weapons collector with a Federal License to own fully automatic weapons including a Browning M2 50-cal. heavy machine gun. He is also an expert long range marksman and he spent time at Barrett Arms for special training with the Barrett 50-cal. rifle. It would be unwise for anyone to breach his home.

Now, we have a very 2nd Amendment State including constitutional carry and no duty to retreat. What is not permissible is to use deadly force to protect property however once they breach the home...game over.

What he and his wife did was a show of force with no shots fired. With constitutional carry one is permitted to openly carry a firearm in the State. To conceal carry one must have a permit to do so.

However....having a pistol in a holster on your hip or a rifle slung over your shoulder is not the same as pointing it at someone and that's where the problems start to arise and things can get quite wormy.
