With kind of weather I certainly don't blame you for not wanting to go outside. Thanks for the reply, whenever you have a chance, no hurry at all. :) :)
Do I understand this correctly:
200mm x 1.6 crop factor = 320mm
320mm x 1.4 teleconverter = 448mm
It took some photos yesterday but didn't get anything decent because it was snowing very heavily. I will try to take some photos today and if I get anything decent I will post them here as examples.
Jim D: Thanks, I keep reading the same thing about the 2x as opposed to the 1.4x. If you get images I would like to see the difference if possible. :)
Thanks for all the input, this forum is the best I have found for getting timely answers and with people that are knowledgeable of the products they are talking about. :) :)
I have read comments saying you lose AF with the 2x and others say the AF works fine with the 70-200 f/2.8. I'm leaning heavily on getting it. Thanks for the reply. :)
According to B&H Sigma makes that same converter for a Canon, thanks.
Thanks DOOK, I found the answer to my question. Really like the car in your picture!!
Is my Canon 60D compatible it that extender? I assume it is, as the lens is compatible.
Considering a purchase of an 2x extender for my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8. I am aware of the light lose, but wonder if there are any other issues that I should be aware of? It certainly is less expensive that a new lens. :?:
Thanks imagemeister, I also have a monopod, didn't know there was a ball head for one.
Thanks for the quick response MT Shooter, that makes sense.
Thanks for the replies, now what would the advantage from to the other as far as grip type to the joystick type?
What is the difference, if any, between a Grip action ball head and a Joy stick ball head? Look very similar but I assume (and you know what that means) that there is a difference.
Thanks for all the welcome posts, it sure seems to be the right place for much information.
I was encouraged to check out this site. It seems like there is much information to share. I have only been learning photography for about a year.
