i have used snapfish and the sharpness and color have turned out well . the
only problem on 4x6 prints is that they crop them slightly from the images
that i have sent . haven't figured out this problem yet . sometimes as now ,
they have $.01 4x6 print offers .

i was able to get acceptable photos at burning man using a point and shoot
camera set to aperture priority at the largest f stop of 3.3 or 2 and , of course , flash off . also use IS . when the fire is going seems the shutter speed is about
1/25 or 1/30 and came out okay . hard to carry a tripod at burning man .

this is an interesting subject . my wife and i are photographed often because
we dress colorfully . in the 60's we posed for irving penn , signed a release ,
and were paid $10 . our images are now in one of his books , and we didn't know until we were told by a friend . our images are now being used advertising a local fee to enter flea market , and our permission was never asked nor did we even know the photo was taken .
i don't really care in these instances , but i am reluctant to sign a release when
i don't know how the images will be use , and if the photographer can then use them in any manner they want . maybe they will be used for something in which i don't believe , or in a derogatory manner . if i could sign a release that
would allow me to approve a specific use , i would feel better about it .
comment would be appreciated .

i have used cut strips of black photographers masking tape around the edges
to keep a screen from peeling off . screens are cheap on ebay , and i never notice them . to each his own .

thanks for your input . i have the jjc lens cover , which is great , but doesn't
act as a sun shield . i will try using the dynamic film mode , up the contrast
and see how that works . if the lx3 had a viewfjnder i would go back to using
it as i never seemed to have these troubles . maybe the problem is the expanded zoom with the larger front lens element . this is a great forum and i appreciate your help .

anyone using the panasonic lx5 ? a few questions . i have been
using one for about 5 months and find that i have been get some
flair if i am at a right angle to the sun . also , my jepgs seem to
look washed out when brought up on my mac . i usually can
correct this with iphoto , but i wonder if anyone has a method for
setting up the camera to get better jepgs ? closeup photos look
the best with the camera , and i like being able to use the lvf ,
being an old leica rangefinder fan . any ideas would be
appreciated .
