That's an excellent find and really nice photos. As to the barn, they're tougher than most people give them credit for. Unless something drastic happens, it will likely survive all of us!
I was in a wreck where a drunk guy t-boned my truck. My wrist was smashed in the process, and I went immediately to the hospital. He went to jail. His insurance company adjuster said that it was a good company and I would get justice from them. But they immediately started backing down. So I hired a lawyer. And I really hate lawyers. But he got all my medical bills paid (including months of PT), and a lot more for my truck than they were offering. It was painless (at least the lawyer part). I understand the idea that you don't want the headache of dealing with all of this. The lawyer will do that for you. Make sure you get a reputable one and let him/her handle everything.
